Let's hear it for New Yooooork! Join us for the inaugural sailing of Carnival Venezia out of Manhattan as we check out a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the terminal, hop onboard for some exploration, tour our cove balcony cabin, struggle to find the sailaway party, locate some lost luggage onboard, then mellow out for an evening of fun, including the Festa Italiana party!! :D

Welcome to an ambitious adventure that we're calling "Around The World In 80ish Days" which takes us to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Iceland, the British Isles, France, and Bermuda over the course of 81 days of travel and 7 different cruises! This final leg of the trip is a 4-day Bermuda loop onboard Carnival Venezia out of Manhattan... it's time for fun, Italian style... let's do this thing!! :D

A good tip for your luggage is cross pack with Dee. I always put a few outfits in my husbands case and vice versa. That way if one of your bags is late or lost you have something to change in to.

A good tip for your suitcase is always put a copy of your luggage tag on top when you close it so if they look they will see where it needs to go and it’ll make guest service job of locating it easier also.

I did the Venezia the sailing shortly after yours. I would never do this ship and not stay in the Terazza Balcony area. The lido deck is wayyyyyy too small for the amount of people on the ship. Thankfully we had deck 5 to ourselves as it is a wrist band only access area. We had our private balcony with day beds and hammock. It was amazing. We also had our own sail away party and sea day brunch. The ship was gorgeous. The food was delish in all the specialty restaurants as well as the Chefs table. Disembarkation day tip. Do not give them your luggage or you will get stuck in the madness. Walk off and get to the area they tell you to go to as early as possible. My friend is platinum and she was stuck on the ship til 1pm. We were off and home in our house in NJ by 9:30am. If you sail before November you must go see THE VENEZIA ROCK BAND in the Gondola Lounge. They were absolutely amazing !! We went to see them every night.

I was on this cruise with you guys! I saw you around the ship a couple times. I see myself in one of the clips in this vlog 😂 waiting for the sail away party that never even happened there. This was the worst cruise of my life. If it was my first I’d say never again. The ship is WAY TO SMALL.

I'm so glad you got your luggage. I was on the transatlantic crossing cruise and didn't get my luggage at all. Had to shop at the next port to get some clothes. I finally got my suitcases 2 months after I got home. My dream vacation turned into a 15 day nightmare. 😢

Thanks for the video, I just realized I booked cabin 2327 for my upcoming cruise on the Carnival Venezia. The cabin looks spacious, and I love how close the cove balconies are to the water line. Please share any must-do tips for the Carnival Venezia; I am doing a 10-day cruise from NY and will have plenty of time to explore the ship.

It was from the inaugural event the night before. It gave us access to the Jay Leno comedy show onboard. We hadn’t unpacked our travel scissors yet to cut it off, ha ha.

A couple of ports have reeeeeally low bridges, making it look pretty dramatic when viewed from a higher deck, like we showed when sailing from Tampa. I’m not sure if the NYC bridge is one of those or not, but folks seemed excited, ha ha… :P

Carnival check-in typically starts around 10am, but you would be asked to arrive during the window of time that you choose ahead of time online.

Hi guys, I have a question...I will be sailing on Venezia and I am not familiar with New York at all and it scare me to death to book a hotel for a one day pre-stay to the cruise. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciative as well as how to get to the port the day of.

Heyo! We don't have any solid picks for staying in the city, sadly. We typically stay somewhere across the river in NJ and Uber/Lyft over the morning of the cruise!! :D

It's actually a Godfather. It is Jay Leno and we saw him at the inaugural event the night before we vlogged it. A few weeks before this came out. Super awesome show.
