Ok, let me tell you a story: nine years ago my father gave me a ride to school, that happened in my early teenage years. Anyway, as we were stuck in the traffic, the radio was turned on, and began playing this song, we were listening to a random radio station, as far as I can remember. I liked this song very much but I didn’t know the name of it. About the lyrics, it was even more complicated trying to remember because english is not my first language. I just could keep part of the melody at the tip of my tongue. I spent years humming this rhythm just to remember the song that I listened to. I spent hours of many years searching through youtube/google about pop funky jazzy swing song but I never found anything. But today, nine years after, I decided to search again. Oh my god, I cried so much! I can’t express how much joy I’m feeling! For you who are reading this, just be persistent in everything you do. I kinda was accepting the fact that I would die without listening to this song ever again. But today, after almost a decade, I could finally find it. Anyway, be persistent and don’t EVER lose your hope; and most importantly, have a good day!

dont think this should be played at clubs. But i do agree on Electroswing needs to get bigger. I do find the music suiteable for regular café's or jazzcafé's

Electro swing is a music genre that combines the influence of vintage or modern swing and jazz mixed with house, hip hop, and EDM. Successful examples of the genre create a modern and dance-floor focused sound that is more readily accessible to the modern ear, but that also retains the energetic excitement of live brass and early swing recordings. Electro swing groups typically include singers, musicians playing traditional jazz instruments (e.g. trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone) and at least one DJ. This is by definition Electro swing. If you google electro swing this is one of the artists that comes up.

I went to go see her live in Nottingham yesterday, now I love her music, but Caro and her awesome band did the impossible and actually got me to dance in public. I have anxiety over public humiliation and leaving my comfort zone, so i have a tendency to just find my own little corner and not bother anyone. Not this time, I didn't care at all, Caro Emerald's music is that good!

it was my childhood song my late mom showed me this song when i was little and forgot the title and found it after so many years that i cried. I will always associate this song with my deceased mom. Thank you Caro Emerald (English is not my native language sorry for mistakes)

+Humphrey Smiggens She is Dutch, and the US music industry prefers North American (USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, - but mostly USA) musicians. Hardly any European musicians had massive airplay there - except for the 'British invasion' in the 60's.

+Vipera01 I know she isn't really mainstream, but i have had a lot of jazz teachers across the states use her music in class. I think this is her most well known song. I do wish more people paid attention to her though. Her music is AMAZING and perfect for performances. (I recently did a piece to Dr. Wanna Do)

This song was used on an advertisement 11 years ago back when my favourite show was sponsored by the ad. The ad used to pop up on my tv every ad break and I used to like the song so much. I just randomly unexpectedly remembered the rhythm and the chorus and decided to search. I literally only knew “you know exactly what you came here for back it up and do it again dadadadadadaray” The feeling of nostalgia is crazy
