It is so nice to read all these lovely comments here about Carol. My stage name was Paddy Kane and I knew Carol for over thirty years and toured with her for seven years in own live stage show "The Grotbags Show". She was a very warm, generous and very talented lady with a real heart of gold. I am putting together a website in memory of her and will have some photos to publish that have never ever been published before online. When I saw her the week before she passed away, she still had me down as her favourite brat. Miss her so much. The website will be online, if all goes to plan, in July 2018. There will never be anyone quite like her again. I loved her when I was little and as a 40 year old still find myself giggling my head off when she played grotbags and whacked croc with her bazazer. I didn't realise it when I was young but she was also a very talented singer. Thank you Carol for everything.

As a teenager in the UK, watching kids TV, I fancied the pants off Grotbags (aka Carol Lee Scott). There was something about her that made me rush home from school so I could catch the Pink Windmill. Yes, it was Rod Hull & Emus show, but whilst I laughed something chronic at the antics of Rod and his ''right arm bird'', I couldn't wait to see Grotbags. I can't explain it properly. Watching these videos on KZfaq of her (on the Pink Windmill, and her other solo interviews) brings back so many happy memories of wonderfully funny lady with an amazing singing voice.

whilst as security in clacton butlins in 83 she appeared every week and arm in arm with her manager/partner she would sign photos for the kids and always with a beaming smile despite some of the more unpleasant things kids would say and had time for everyone. always had a chat with us, a pleasure to know her.

She will always be remembered. As a kid i seen her as Grotbags the witch with Rod and Emu. I seen her when she had cancer in the Show call The midwife. In season 8 and part of season 9. She was portrayed as a no nonsense nun who deep down was kind and had a heart of gold on the show. She lived in Bridgewater Somerset. In the West country. A friend i knew used to clean her windows in the UK. She gave him a signed photograph of her as Grotbags. She was a very kind lady who will be remembered by thousands

Carol was vastly underated as a singer. Some of the best bits of the pink windmil show was Carol singing or her with Croc and Redford. I watched it for Grotbags not Rod and Emu
