So, I really do not get this. In an earlier episode, the one that focused on Cindy's lisp, Carol said that she also had a lisping problem as a child, and that it was especially bad for her because she grew up in Swampscott, Massachusetts. However, this episode, and also the one where her grandmother visits, pretty much reveal that she grew up somewhere in the Heartland. This dude and her grandmother did not have New England accents!

Nobody knew at the time that Mike was hoping carol left him and tank alone.

There was a similar episode in I Dream of Jeannie. Jeannie's "ex" was a black belt in Karate and played football at Notre Dame and thought Tony was a big nothing. (Jeannie blinked him up though he wasn't real.)

What a total pain in the butt this guy is. I'd be ready to throw him out before he even crossed the threshold. Seems he hasn't had much to do since high school since he remembers every detail of some game he played way back when. Reminds me of an episode of the Waltons where John's old army buddy comes to visit and all he can talk about is the old days when they fought in the war (WWI) and he hasn't moved past that and made a life since the war. Tank hasn't moved an inch since high school. For all his bragging, he was not an NFL star.
