My review of the Louis Vuitton Kirigami Pochette: pros & cons, wear & tear after close to a year of owning it, and do I think it's worth it. For ladies who aren’t sure what to use these for: 1. The mini envelope can be used for small tech items like usb flash drives earphones, chapstick, birth control, charging cable, hair clip, tweezers, hair elastics, bandaids (plasters) and other small miscellaneous items. 2. The medium can be used for face masks, makeup, vitamins, passports, smaller pouches, charging cables and tech accessories like dongles, charging plugs, small toiletries, jewellery and other miscellaneous items and 3. The large envelope can be used for iPad mini, small tablets, agendas, diaries, small notebooks, toiletries, laptop charger, wet wipes, small pencil case and to organise smaller pouches!

I use my medium Kirigami as sanitary, small perfume and lipstick pouch 🙂🙂🙂👍🏻 I also use the large one as my cross body with the insert and longer strap.... I loooooove how versatile all 3 pouches are. So glad, I got them!

Yay! Congrats on your new purchase 🤗 Yeah I was surprised they didn’t raise the price. It has only gone up by $30 compared to when I bought it in 2020 and there’s been so many times when other items have had price increases.

There surprisingly hasn’t been too steep of a price increase since it was first released either. I think it was ~$670 a few years ago when it was first launched. Not bad considering it’s lined in leather.

Ooh my goodness I love this it’s perfect for what I want to use it for I’m estactic I saw it on Fashionphile for over 300 more the the LV boutique 🤦🏽‍♀️ I went on you tube to see how you use it and my my my thank you for showing me how to convert the largest one into cross body that’s exactly what I was looking for ooh my goodness thank you thank you thank you it’s affordable and has so much versatility ❤❤❤

I considered purchasing the Kirigami pouches in the past, but never purchased them. They are beautiful. Maybe one day I will add then to my collection. Great video. ❤

The Kirigami pouches are actually the only SLGs I like from LV. Maybe it’s silly but I want my SLGs to look pretty too and most of the ones from LV aren’t in my opinion 😅 But these are!

Great review . I will to nervous to use the bag insert . Knowing my luck it will come off and I’ll loose the Kirigami. Thanks for this informative review.

Haha it’s more secure this way compared to wrapping a chain directly across the inside of the flap but yeah it’s still a risk. I’ve thought about maybe punching two holes in the Kirigami and attaching a strap that way but I couldn’t commit to doing that 😅

@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC Because like you I thought it was a good deal, but I have a special edition mimi Pochette, a T 15 and and and limited cosmetic pouch, besides my key pouch so then when it arrived I was like, omg what am I gonna do with all these pouches ??? Did I just get this because they’ve been sold out and now back in stock and because it’s a good deal? 🙈😅😂👏🏼 I was no, I’ll return and have that go towards a bag or something else! So now I really have to rethink this whole thing 😆 Thanks for asking ! So sweet 💖💖💖💖💖

I really need to get it together here and figure out what I’m going to do with my slg’s 🙄 So you mentioned how you like a cardholder cuz it’s compartmentalized, and made me think how annoying it is to go through my cards in my key pouch 😩 I keep 4. DL, Gym locker card, and 2 CC. For my mimi Pochette I use to keep the rest of card like gift cards and others.. I keep my make-up in my make-up pouch but hate the wideness for when I swap purses that are usually small. The 15 I use for receipts, lotion, feminine stuff, perfume, pens random stuff. So idk 🙈Should I get a small wallet? If I’m out the door really quick, I’ll just take my key pouch that has my keys and dl, cc, cash... so why get a wallet? I’m so confused 🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂

I also have the insert for the large kirigami and found it to be too thick so what i did was to take out one of the pockets (which really we dont need 😝 ) now i can fit a bit more 😊

Thank you for showing what fits in each! Im pleasantly surprised at how much fits. I had a question though. If anyone is using these as a crossbody/purse using the inside liners, how do you do it so that when u go to open the purse the liner doesn’t slip out? Is that possible?

It’s not possible to prevent it completely just between the bag and liner but the liner I have is a pretty tight fit inside the pouch so it doesn’t really slip off. I‘ve seen people punch two holes in the back of the pouch and hook the chain strap onto the holes. Or I guess you could paperclip the pouch and liner together or stick a small piece of velcro somewhere in the bag. I’m really thinking outside of the box here but personally I wouldn’t do any of this.

I have the kirigami set and I love it. I would like for you to show the large pouch using the insert and the different chains. Also, do you have to keep it front of mind to hold the pouch a certain way when opening it so the pouch doesn’t slide off the insert. Where did you order your insert and chains. Thx

Ahh I totally forgot to include mod shots in the video 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t think I can send them over here but if you DM me (@carol.x.chan) on Instagram I can send over some photos. When I’m using it as a wristlet I usually hold on to the pouch when I need to grab something inside so it’s never an issue. When I have it crossbody or on my shoulder, I find that usually the top flap of the kirigami doesn’t open all the way vertically naturally. So between the insert being a good fit and the flap kind of resting on top of the insert even if it slides off a little bit (if that makes sense) I don’t have to pay much attention to it. If the insert and the kirigami pouch itself will come apart? I find it’s a decently tight fit so it’s not really a concern for me.

No unusual wear and tear. The canvas is pretty durable. There’s marks and scratches on the inside but that’s expected. And I’m surprised it’s so much cheaper in Japan. Factoring in taxes, it’s like $150 more in the US 😱
