@@DS11110 In the story though, she does. The flight attendant, the chef, Han's mom said so. If they werent impressed, they should have made a joke out of it. Her suddenly not understanding well and speaking it just to impress Americans sound more like a continuity error played for laughs.

At least she was doing what she likes, at first she thought she’ll apply a job where her old rich ‘friends’ will never come, but she found what she was meant to do and found a really cute ‘family’.

Funny thing the people portrayed as Koreans aren't even Korean. In fact the real Han is Chinese-American and it's a fake Asian accent 😅 I suppose her character was supposed to be good at it from her exposure to languages even if she literally isn't at all. Btw my family is Asian American and when my husband who isn't Asian says a word or two right in the language, they think it's so cute and over praise him for it. The people she talked to probably just like her and think it's cute for her even trying some words close enough since most Americans just can't. Some French people can be really rude about how things are pronounced and sentence structure. Caroline tried, but it was literally just some mispronounced words 😁

well they planned to film season 7 as the final season but the rating in the 6th season was so poor they had to cancel it, you could see the finale in season 6, it's clear they wanted a 7th season but the WB said no so, there you have it

Being able to make small talk/chit chat in a language isn't all that marketable. She would have to study the area of interest in the other language. A lot of people who say they know several languages only have limited knowledge of most of them. They have a good starting point, but they don't have the vocabulary to talk about all the areas they can handle in their native language. Even in their native language, they would have to study the field enough to be able to understand and speak coherently. You have to know something about cars to interpret for a car mechanic. And you need to know enough about medicine to interpret for doctors.
