Carp Anglers Vs Match Anglers, Who's THE BEST? #1

After weeks of planning and preparation Capital Angling is delighted to post the first video on our KZfaq channel and this one forms the first instalment of an epic series of head to head videos.
The first one we have pitched our very own Capital carp angling duo of Mark "Carpy" Pitchers and Jamie "Tech" Jackson against our Capital Catch brothers, Jamie Hughes and Andy May!
In this battle Royale, the task was simple, Carp anglers vs Match anglers in a 4 hour fishing match on which team can catch the biggest weight.

Loved it. Both types of angling take a lot of skill. I now fish match style as i like to be more active. However watch a lot of speci video's (especially mark pitchers) theres a lot both camps could learn from each other

What an awesome video. I was not sure if Andy and Jamie were going to win, but i am happy they did. They are the ones that got me into pole fishing. BTW I live in the U.S., most people here only care about Bass and baitcasters. Can't wait for the rematch 👍

Awesome series (part one and two). Any videos with Mark “carpy” Pitchers in it - count me in👍 👍👍 I also enjoyed the other anglers, but Mr. Pitchers brings a smile to my face every time I hear his voice 🥰🤣😍😂. IMO, he’s one of UK’s best carp anglers, and more importantly, the greatest employer of sarcastic (albeit, oftentimes a bit naughty) humor ever!!! The kinda guy I’d love to go fishing with even though I like to fish alone! - Joe (new Subscriber from the USA)

Awesome match well done ALL... Chin up Chest out carp team come on get 1-1 next leg for a final NOT to be missed. Hassan rules dictate you must take that sling back to leicester and parade it on show in your garden until the next leg as official adjudicator .lol Loved it guys well done. Steve M

The place is full of skimmers!! Was always going to be very difficult to beat it with carp alone.

@MarkPitchers come on Mark you had twice the lines in the water. Not to mention the skimmers definitely don't go 20lb plus in there lmao.

@@deanstyles7843 no, but the skimmers out number the carp by about a million to one, and they can be landed in seconds. Much easier to build up a weight of skimmers.

Should really halve the carp score as they had twice as many rods! Match rules: one rod.

In carp matches anglers can use two rods. Match rules for match anglers, carp "match" rules for carp anglers.

Some pleasure anglers are capable of big things. You don't have to be a match angler, nor do you have to be a carp angler. A top angler can turn his hand to either craft, plus is likely very adept at other disciplines such as fly fishing. Some of us go fishing for the pleasure, while others will find a compulsion to compete.

This definitely doesn't show a once and for all winner of who is better. You would have to put two anglers at separate times on the same swim same peg go back in time and swap the angler. Haha 😂
