New fathers Scott Day and Mark Bartlett managed to get some time away from their kids to embark on a session at the 70+ acre Grenvilles Syndicate in Cambridgeshire. With the venue home an incredible stock of fish the chance of something special was certainly on the cards and the guys were absolutely blown away with the results!

You ain’t fishing if you ain’t put 2 buckets in 😂🤣I have four kids and trust me getting out fishing for more than 5 nights a year is hard work , family first as they are only little for 16 years so I see it as I can fish when I’m old for weeks at a time just gotta enjoy my fishing when I do get out and not take it so serious like most do when I can fish.

Very, very impressive the filming, the fish and and the angling especially from Mark adapting to two very different swims and catching in both. It did balance things nicely when Scott caught the biggest. The fishery management must be congratulated though on producing such a fantastic venue. As a matter of interest (I'm sure everyone wants to know) what was the total weight of bait used by both of you during the session?

I find it strange that the most off you always fish with a different hookbait than the baiting boilies,WHY???? Look at 37:56.

During the winter and spring especially most of the Fox anglers prefer a bright, high attract hook bait as this is often taken first. Later in the year when the fish have wised up a bit is the time to "match the hatch".

Didn't even look like he had fish on his rods were not bent at all so either rods are like pokers and more suitable to sea fishing or he was playing them like a fairy .Never known any carp take 80 yards of line even much bigger ones
