Joan Jett is a rock and roll pioneer. Fronting a rock band forever...thats why she is in the R&R hall of fame. Carrie has always done duets with the strongest women singers. I hope a CMT "crossroads" will follow sometime this year!! Looking forward to taking my daughter to Carries 360 Cry Pretty show later this year. EOTY... get it rollin' !!!

Carrie did her songs when she first came out she sang love wins southbound drinking alone and she ended her son's with before he cheats she can sing anything you now can throw her way she proved it tonite when she sang the biggest hits of Joan Jett' career especially I love rock and roll

Interesting part of these melody of songs. Is that all of those songs are Joan Jett's songs, not one of Carrie's songs. Which proves how versatile Carrie is. I think she would knock the socks off the rock and roll genre.

Carrie sang her own songs at this festival, THIS was a nice way to let Joan get exposure to the country world. Carrie was not trying to sing over these songs, on purpose. Please. Joan going to cross over to country now??

Abosolutely loved it!! Carrie has a strong enough voice to sing pop!! Joan looked very good for her age!! "I Love Rock and Roll" was the rock anthem of my senior year in high school!! Brought back my long lost teen years!! Thank you!!!

This is why, reporters have stopped asking Carrie, if she can do other types of music. They realize she can. Carrie just likes country music so much. And other genres are happy, Carrie is staying in country music.

Joan Jett is obviously still quite the dynamic performer and powerful presence! Carrie Underwood is cute but in this pairing comes across as little more than a back up singer and go go dancer in contrast. If I did not see the "CMA" graphics on the giant screens I never would have known this was a "Country" event.

Country artist always want to sing Pop or Rock music. That's why it's popular to listen to Country music because they aren't singing Country music. They are Pop and Rock artist using the Country label to sale their music.

If ur not then how do u know for a fact that Carrie calledJoan.....cuz she didnt call Joan at all...Carrie was gracious enuff to let Joan share the stage with her....If u watch the video of carrie singing with Joan then u will realize that Carrie seemed very uncomfortable singing Joans songs...U can tell that Carrie was very uneasy...Carrie was like a fish out of water...Carrie has so many hits and songs that it was like her going against the grain...Its carries time too shine and Joan wants too take the spotlight away from Carrie...I feel sorry for Carrie...cuz what they are doing too her isnt cool...Carrie DOESNT need Joan Jett....Its like they are trying too drown Carrie out...Theres alot of Jealousy in the music industry and i think Joan Jett is highly jealous of Carrie..

Carrie ALWAYS does some kind of rock/hairband kind of songs! Aerosmith/Guns n Roses/Def Leopard/etc. I have been to this festival the past 10 years and seen her in concert. Just bc she sings country doesn’t mean that is all she HAS to sing. She is having fun and considering the crowd is singing along I don’t think they minded.

Its music...nobody has to stay in their own lane 🤣 🤣 CMA fest is about having fun,and she wanted to share the stage with a rock legend...can’t say I don’t blame her. But at the end of the day it’s a festival and it’s just about having fun. Looks like they were BOTH having fun,and so was the stadium full of people🤷🏻‍♀️

What is going on....where is carries songs.joan jett is not country..shes rock..i would of been disappointed if i came to see carrie and saw carrie and joan jet.mlooks like they are trying too piss off carrie..looks like there is alot of jealousy in the industry..i didnt like the whole collabaration of carrie and joan jett together...it was awful..didnt get it...whats going on.not impressed with that performance..something is up.. .
