Every time i listen to this song i start crying especially when she says "make sure you tell daddy that im still his little girl" .

For all you kids in the comment board getting choked up because you feel like you don't want to grow up, I can tell you I felt the same way you did when I was your age. Now that I'm 32 I can tell you that growing up was one of the most demanding but rewarding things that can happen to you. You'll learn responsibility very quickly and you'll be able to pass on the values and wisdom to your own children one day. You may grow up, but that doesn't ever mean you have to grow apart from the family that loves you. I still visit with my parents as often as I can because I love them dearly and enjoy their company. I still after all this time call their house my home 😊 Stay safe, go for life with everything you got and enjoy the ride!

I'm crying because this really makes me stop and think about how important my family is and how much I love and need them. I try not to take them for granted, everyone makes mistakes, and I try and spend as much time with my parents as possible. They've always been there for me and soon it'll be my turn to be there for them

Carrie was asked if she thinks her dad is very proud of her. The answer is definite yes. He just hates the publicity. That is why when she perform this song in her home state concert. With her dad in the audience, she couldn't say that line, which is this song and that is tell dad, I am still his little girl. Which proves how proud he is of her.

14 years ago, my Grandmother would put me in the back seat of her car and drive me around our little town just so that I could here this record. Now 14 years later, I’m driving that same car off to college listening to this same record and remembering the memories I had with my Grandmother. Thank you Carrie Underwood for giving me those little moments with her that have stuck with me all these years.

More than 15,000 miles apart, I spoke to my mom and right after the phone conversation I really had to tune in to KZfaq and listen to this song and it broke my heart.

When I turned 18 my mother dedicated this song to me and always told me to remember it. I lost my mother in January of this year and 2 weeks and 2 days later I lost my father. April is all of our birthday month. My father’s is the 22nd mine is the 25th and my mother’s 27th. I had them both on my mind heavy and it lead me here. I wish I could hear their voices just one more time especially my mother’s she is my younger sister’s and I best friend💔💔💔

The day I left for college, will forever be ingrained into my mind! My Momma, insisted we go out to eat for one more meal, my daddy found ways to stall goodbye. I will never spend the $50 he slipped me that day. I will never spend the 5 $10 dollar bills that my father used to give me one more goodbye, on that day. The plot thickens here: I'm a car guy and have several cars and trucks, but the truck my dad drove when I was growing up is my favorite vehicle I own. I drove that truck 800 miles to college. The 5 $10 bills are in the ashtray of that truck to the day. I plan on passing the truck and the $50 bucks on to my son the day he leaves for college ( hopefully this happens in my life I'm only 23 right now). This song makes me tear up every time I give it a spin. God bless Underwood for writing songs about the things we often see as "so small". Just dropped my daughter off at college today on her 18th birthday. It was bittersweet. Im proud of her, but my heart hurts to let her go. I also lost my mama 2 years ago. It has definitely been a hard day for me.

Just thought I'd share this. Today is father's day which happens to be the 2nd year my father passed away. I walked into a Dollar General and this song was playing. The words stopped and touched me as if my father was talking to me from heaven. I started crying in the Dollar General. As much as I desired to not devote father's day on his passing to tampen my depression, it hit back at me hard. I miss his "let's go for a drive" moments the most. I miss you daddy. We all do.

This song brings a tear to my eye, it hits pretty close to home. I left the Midwest (Chicago) for California last year.... My mom prayed for me before I left. When I got to my car it was full of my favorite snacks. In the ashtray, I found $200 and a bottle of blessed oil. She called me 3 times throughout the journey to make sure I was ok, and in one case she made me pull over to get some sleep. lol Last year was the first year I spent both Christmas and Thanksgiving away from home.
