Carrie Underwood's Suprise For A Hometowm High School

Carrie Underwood surprised high school students in her hometown of Checotah, Okla., with a performance and new musical instruments worth more than $117,000. The donation is part of Underwood's new Checotah Animal, Town & School (C.A.T.S.) Foundation and was granted in conjunction with the Academy of Country Music's charitable arm, ACM Lifting Lives. Underwood also brought one of the school's fifth graders onstage to perform "So Small" with her. "I am so proud to have come from such a wonderful community that helped shape me as a person," said Underwood, "and I can think of nothing better than to share the gift of music with the students in my hometown. It's so great to be able to give back in a way that can truly better the lives of these kids and help create dreams and opportunities. I'd like to give a very special thanks to the Academy of Country Music's Lifting Lives for helping me make this dream come true."

I was in 6th grade and there in the crowd when this all happened. I'm going into 9th grade now. Kenedee, I'm so jealous of her still this day. I've met her and talked to her. She has become such a great singer. She's going into 8th grade now. I wish the best for her. She is everything I've ever wanted to be. She is a nice young girl, with a beautiful heart. Theres no doubt she'll become famous! :) I'm glad to live in Checotah.

I live there, im in her grade, i was there and it was her (Kenedee's) first day and she hardly knew anyone and she was nervous but she had experience before she came here. She still sings and i think she's an awesome singer and she's a very sweet person :)

For Carrie to do that to that girl shows what a great person she really is and not just a celeberty who only thinks about herself and if she cam to my school and told me to come up and sing with her I would not pass up that opprutuneity!!!! I would go for it I mean I WOULD GET TO SING WITH CARRIE UNDERWOOD FOR HEAVENS SAKES

We need more people like Carrie she is the real deal on and off the stage That girl's life will be changed forever because of that moment with Carrie.... Anyone who says she can't sing or you say that about any kid trying to do what they love to do..... get a grip...... there's something wrong with slamming a kid down just because.... Here's food for thought video game sales are so high it's crazy but when kids feel the need to stay inside and play games instead of joining the drama team,choir or play sports at school because they don't want to get knocked down for trying........

I'll never forget when I saw and heard Carrie for the first time on America Idol. My hubby and I both would make bets on who would win AI each year. Well, Carrie was my pick from day 1. Not only is Carrie a wonderful singer she is also so caring and loves people. I have always dreamed if meeting her and actually did have a dream that I got to meet and sing with her. That would be a dream come true. I almost lost my life about 1 1/2 years ago. I appreciate every single day I have with my kids. They are the ones that got me through my darkest days. I have a lot of problems left over from all the infections and I will never get to live a day not in pain ect. I just love listening and seeing Carrie. Her songs all tell a story that I love to pick a part to figure out. You take me to a place of no pain Carrie. Thanks for everything you do for others Carrie. You are Truly are AMAZING!!!!! Xoxo

Fame hasn't changed her, she's a good sweet Christian girl who isn't afraid of talking and singing about Jesus, Oh, BTW, did I mention she can sing pretty good too LOL! I've followed you ever since AGT, You've got raw talent, stage presence and lots of spunk! Work hard, get a GOOD voice coach and never give up on your dream, but more importantly strive to be a good person as well and you'll be better than Carrie!

Ugh, I love Carrie Underwood. Not many singers would do that. Why isn't she winning more awards? Gosh. Well, I"m glad that she is still hosting the awards with Brad Paisley. : ) I'm pretty jealous of the girl who is singing with her.
