Hello, this is a great video its really helping me set up my gig as a new seller. My question is that it is advisable to max out your Gig title. You know Fiverr allows 80 characters and when it gets to like 50 they say title is perfect. Whats your advise on this??

I definitely don’t have a clear answer on that… partially because I don’t watch my stats that closely (they’re stable) and because the algorithm is a flexible, nuanced thing. I’d give it more than a day unless you went from zero to hero in your keyword choices.

Hi.. my question is regarding the audio in the background you have in your fiverr gig video. Do you own copyright for that audio? If not, does Fiverr permit to add any audio file we want in our videos or will we be required to produce the source files of the music we are including in the video?

Hey Carrie, I've been binge watching your videos because I truly believe your tips will help me. Thank you for putting such amazing and helpful content. You are so clear about everything and I don't feel bored even for a second. :) I have one question related to Gig Title, I would really appreciate if you reply. My question is, does the permalink/URL of the gig matter? When I created my gigs 2+ years ago, I wasn't very experienced and I just didn't pay too much attention to these things. It worked for me then but I think in the long run, its not working out. I see a lot of mistakes and things that need to be fixed regarding my gigs, mainly the title of my gigs. But I've noticed even if I change the title using better keywords the permalink stays the same and I'm aware there's no way to change that but does that really matter? Does my gig title need to be exactly the same as the initial permalink/URL that was generated? Or can I go ahead and change my gig title, use better keywords and save it? I'd really appreciate you advice on this. Thank you in advance.

You can as long as the URL and the title don’t end up too far apart… it just needs to make sense and still be accurate. Don’t change /write-cruise-and-travel-articles into a gig about proofreading white papers.

Hi, might be a dumb question... but are gig more active when you're online? I know as a consumer that seeing a seller online would be a quicker negotiation. I tried to read a little about their documentation, and it looks like the volume they are referring to is computed on the Google search engine, and since what interests us here is the Fiverr search engine, do you have in mind any similar tools but for the Fiverr search engine ? No, I don’t have anything specific to fiverr’s algorithm and search engine, but it’s make sense that Fiverr would be a smaller reflection of wider Google trends

Well, I have a question. Many people say that go to a less competitive niche and use that type of tag in your title and desc and tags area. So my question is that gives me doubt a lot, is having less competition means fewer Clients or buyers there? Like if there is less competition in that niche but does that mean that you get fewer clients because it's not that popular. I hope you understand my question properly!

It ranked yesterday but I haven't got an order yet just impressions and clicks. Now is it possible to rank on the 2nd page or do I need orders to rank further?

It’s not a perfect science and your ‘rank’ will change. Now, at this point, focus on the client-facing details most. How can you get more clicks? Then how can you get more messages? You could add a PDF link with screenshots that show the variety of your design style… or compiled case studies and reviews from previous clients… or a ‘how it works’ outline to define your workflow and what clients can expect.

Spend some time browsing the drop down category menus to see what your options are. You can also search for gigs that are similar to what you want to offer and see what category the best sellers are in. I will model with your sign for $5 was one of the *original* gig trends lol even I got in on it back in the day!

No - impressions is an actual statistic. That’s the number of people who have your gig show up on their screen.

So i created a gig for the first time and after 2 days i got my first order. That week i got like 4 orders with 5 star reviews and frequent messages from buyers and then.... everything just stopped..no messages and my impressions have gone down too and thats really a bummer and im left clueless on what i should do about it :( Anyways I'd like to know your opinion on it. Hi, question! Can I edit my gigs in 1 day? For example, I have 5 gigs can I edit them all in one day? Or 1 gig edit per day will do? I was thinking maybe the ranking of all my gigs will all drops when I re-edit them at one time.

Don’t worry about de-ranking, just change it if it needs to be changed. Do it right for your clients and the algorithm won’t be a problem.
