I have just spent the last week binge watching all 278 videos and I am now finally up to date. What an adventure, what a man

It's kind of unreal thinking that soon, all of the floors of the Chateau will be put in and the roof will be installed. That's something I couldn't fathom over a year ago, and that is so satisfying to see!

Does anyone else feel the need every now and again to return to the very first episode of this amazing transformation to remind themselves just what a perilous state this chateau was actually in back then?! It's so wonderful to see it coming together so well .... now if it'd just stop raining!!

I cannot believe how fast the weeds grow on the stairs and walls no wonder it had almost disappeared when you first bought the chateau. The driveway in looks stunning the flowering bushes with the stunning trees and then glimpses of the chateau looks stunning.

I see that Nick uses his years of experience to put a helmet on. May be just to hold the Go Pro but I'd like to think it is because he is safety conscious!

Why don’t you get an umbrella stand and an umbrella to put over your grill. That way you stay dry when cooking. Tie a sturdy string around it when not in use. That way the wind doesn’t get into it and breaks it. Works well at my house.

I can't help but feel you're pushing your luck with some of the work practices in this episode.

I cannot believe that freestanding chimney has survived so long and is still standing. It will be such a relief when they get the roofs done and the chimneys and towers are safe and secure again.

Incredible and fascinating!!! This is a huge project and great to watch!!

Being in a comparable situation to you, Dan, I have put temporary windows into place. They are made out of a wooden frame and a sheet of 1mm plexiglass. Not expensive and very steady, they are sold by the linear metre on a 125 cm width. I cut them using a cutting disk on a grinder, moving slowly for the sheet not to break. Make a test before. Given that your main door and window frames are still in place and apparently in rather good condition, I recommend putting these plexiglass sheets onto them, it changes everything. I added rough glazing bars every 50 cm or so for the outcome to withstand wind, put 1 screw plus washer per crossing, not more. It works brilliantly. Kudos!
