Note: I forgot in the script to describe what a hackamore is. It's basically a bridle (the tack that goes on the horse's head, used for direction) without a bit. Looks like the one in the picture, though there's lots of types. Many young horses are trained with these. They learn to respond to the pressure applied to the noseband when either side is pulled by the reins.
