1:26 this part is way better than the original. Darrell’s voice being slightly higher as well as echoed more, and also sounds way more concerned about lightning. It’s almost like McQueen can hear Darrell… the sad music begins to kick in and McQueen realises he’s “fading fast” out of the sport he loves, and the roar of Danny’s V10 and Chase’s V8 engines passing McQueen is a beautiful sound. I also love how lightning’s engine is louder and more aggressive and starts shaking, indicating that he’s pushing too much before the inevitable happens.

The biggest changes I think that should've been made to "fix" the film would be: - Swap Mcqueen's two main paint jobs in the film - Make Mcqueen's engine a bit louder during the crash, really exemplifies that he's REALLY going too hard on himself in that final attempt to keep up with Storm

I feel like Disney kinda screwed up Cars 3. The teaser made it look like Cars 3 was going to be Pixar's darkest movie. The preview made it look less dark, but still very serious. And the movie itself is pretty good, but could have used just a little more work.

When you listen closely there is actually a huge difference with the music

You can see that the film had a lot of changes, they changed the rusteze paint to this one at the beginning of the film to use the other one only after the prime and in the Florida 500, the music got a different tone, Some voices are at different times from the preview Some say it would show the doc's death, the deleted ending, and the deleted scenes on the fireball beach That's all we know

im torn. on the one hand, i remember seeing this original audio one first and noticing that the official movie version was quite toned down. some stuff that made this audio so much more harrowing to watch includes - mcqueens louder engine notes to indicate how far he's pushing his limits and going too hard - darrell's voice showing more concern - mcqueen actually makes a short "aah" sound when colliding with the wall which indicates pain to the audience and again, making the crash seem more horrifying - all engine notes, tyre squeal and just the overall audio mix for the sound effects are MUCH louder here but the issue with this scene being this horrifying and traumatising is that, even if this is the worst accident we've seen in the cars movie canon, the audience still has to believe that lightning mcqueen can race after this. if the crash is overdone, and the effects are too terrifying or traumatising, the audience will doubt mcqueen's recovery. toning down the effects of the crash does kinda make the crash itself less dark and traumatising but overall was the right move when played with the rest of cars 3 for the sake of storytelling and pacing. roughly 15 minutes after this crash, he's restored with a new paint job and ready to train again. mcqueen's crash is definitely better and more harrowing to watch when its paired with these audio effects. but overall, the right call for the movie was toning down the crash, not making it a traumatic incident that the audience will struggle to get beyond.

This is actually very relevant to all workplaces. Too often we require ourselves to be completely competent at what we do, especially to possess a successful legacy and when the younger talents arrive we push ourselves past safe limits out of threats of being outclass or out competed. Especially when your coworkers are taunting you into a position to hurt yourself. i think the onus is pn both the younger and older generation to be more empathetic and more compassionate. Jack storm despite being the highest spec racer ever to exist will never earn people's respect the way McQueen did. Pushing king what was going to be mcqueens piston cup, his arrogant attitude was partly whay cooked off mcqueens insecurities, he wanted to hurt his opponents legacy off the tracks instead of simply being a good sport (in a very nepotist way too)

I obviously hate the McQueen crashed but there’s little details I like first the two cars that pass him after he hits the wall and goes flying look over at him with a what seems to be a worried look and also the audiences reaction

A little detail I like is that when McQueen pushes himself right before the crash, you can see him start to shake, as if he's in pain while doing so, which he clearly is.

One thing I noticed between the original audio and the final cut audio is that the original audio had Brent Mustangburger as the announcer alongside Darrel Cartrip rather than Bob Cutlass. I say this because I thought it sounded like Brent Mustangburger at some parts. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Now I am a diehard McQueen fan and as tragic as his crash was I think he planned it at the last second here’s my theory. He knew for a fact that they were new engines in the market because of the new racers so at the last second overcome with shock and grief, he purposely crashed, though he was still shocked on how bad it turned out, but it worked. He was damaged enough to get an engine transplant however, things didn’t turn out the way he expected. His engine produces 750 hp if you would look that up and his top speed is 200 miles per hour, give or take 2 miles per hour ok but the new engines are still V8’s but with 900 hp or 1.2 X 750 hp so 200 Mph X 1.2 =…he thought with a 900 hp engine that his top speed could be increased from 200 mph to 242 mph way faster than storm who’s top speed clocks in at a pathetic 216 mph maybe 220 mph if he pushes himself. But hey, it’s just a theory so who knows I could be completely wrong.

McQueen is fading…when I saw and heard this in the theater when it came out and I knew what was gonna happen I had to shed a tear for him he was on such a roll with Storm but then he went into overdrive and just crashed out……one of the most heartbreaking moments in film history

When McQueen suddenly got loose due to being too fast and possibly broke something in my opinion is a likrly reference to Bobby Allison's 1987 Talladega crash in which he popped a tire as he was exitong the trioval at 210 mph, flying into the catchfence and ripped a 100 feet gap within the catch fence. 5 were injured as this was at the grandstands Edit: this is my opinion so dont take it seriously
