im 6'4 and i loved the room in my 2011 toyota avalon. I also reccomend the 370z and hyundai genesis coupe if you want some more sportier versions, i traded my avalon in for the Z and i fit fine. it takes a minute or two to get that car seat adjusted right but once you do its great

I'm 6'5" slim, with long legs like this guy. I have a 36" inseam. I used to have a 2013 mustang and also tooled around in a 2018 and found they had a lot of leg and head room inside. I had to put the seat down all the way, but they fit me better then any other GT/sports car. Also the visibility was excellent from most angles. It's a very good car for tall people.

I'm 6'7" tall (38" inseam) and I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I have enough headroom to wear a helmet (no sunroof). Knee room was tight, but I designed a 2" extension for the steering wheel, and now I can track the car with confidence. I love it! I also have a 1973 Datsun 240Z and no one believes it when they see me get out. But it's actually very comfortable. I've frequently spent all day in it on road trips.

With newer cars its slightly easier. My Father has just bought a 2007 Ford Galaxy. He's 6'5'' and I'm 6'10'' and we can both drive it. Most new cars tend to have controls that adjust the heights of the seats, which also helps a fair bit. All new VWs seem to have this as well.

One one buys a sports car for the back seats lmao. For example, the Mustang has backseats but its unusable. Why? because insurance reasons. Insurance companies think 4 seats=family car=less money for manufacturers and people who buy insurance

I'm 5 foot 19 and 1/2 inches tall and I know the pain ( yes you can use that when someone asks how tall you are). I could not fit in most American cars over the decades and it's nice to see this.

At 6’2” the 2015 Ford Mustang GT with the premium package at 30k was the best car I’d sat in. Great legroom, with the right seating position good headroom, and the air conditioning in the seats is a great addition. Clutch engagement and shifting are where they should be (let’s skip over the MT-82 6-speed for now, and the dog-ish gear selector feel.). The Dodge Challenger leather seats are super comfortable too, like reclining chairs. Only thing is, visibility in new cars is just atrocious, and in the Chevy Camaro, Dodge Charger, and even the boat of a coupe herself the Dodge Challenger all felt like I was sitting in a voting booth backwards, and most of them had no blind spot monitoring either. Being tall isn’t just a comfort issue, it can be a major safety issue when not accounted for in blind spot visibility, something the Ford Mustang does very, very well at. (On the driver side that is) plus with the performance package, 5.0L (actually 4.951cc’s) high revving DOHC V8, if you have to pass somebody, you can drop a couple gears and get on going, but the drivers’ blind spot is a major major must. Seems like the other companies dropped the ball there ey? Good on Ford for this one, maybe next time other guys.

Im going to expand on this. Im 6ft 4. First off, short people will tell you to get trucks or SUV's because they have no fucking idea what its like to actually be tall. So heres some real world for tall peeps: 1. Not every car will fit everyone the same size. It drastically matters if you have a long torso, or longer legs. 6ft 4 can have one longer then the other, this will make a huge difference. Longer legs = needs lower sitting seats. Longer Torso = less head room, might need to avoid sun roofs. 2. Lower seats = more leg room. 3. SUV's and Trucks have raised seats that dont sit low or bucket. I hate them, and will never own a truck or SUV again for this reason. Distance to the pedals is horribly close and uncomfortable for us long leg type. 4. Ive found for me (long legs) coupes work well. Mainly because the B pillar is pulled further back. 5. Heres some cars I fit great in: VW Golf GTI, Hyundai Genesis Coupe (The higher trim level lets you lower the seat), Mustang, Camaro, Nissan Maxima, Mazda 3 and 6.

I'm really glad a video like this exsists! when i hitch a ride with somone its always a squeese even in some SUV's. I am 3 inches shorter than cody but im 24 stone ( a little bit over weight for my build) i find my pelvise is getting rubbed into dust by bucketing seats. very uncomftable.

I will recommend the Volkswagen Polo, my dad used to have a 1997 model. It was really small from the outside but very comfortable inside, somebody whos 7ft tall could easily sit in front and a child on the back seat without any problem.

I’m 6’ 2”, and fit in my daily commuter, a Jetta, just fine...it has lots of both leg and headroom. I obviously fit fine in my F-150, duh. But had to modify my Mustang 65’s seat...the floor panels were modified by lowering the steel floor brackets 2 inches, the seats now slide further back too.

One of those freaks here at 6’6”. I pretty much fit into all pickup trucks and larger SUV’s, but nothing smaller except some sports cars, I find American cars to be a bit roomier as Americans tend to be larger people, my dad has a corvette and I fit fine both in the passenger and driver seat.

As a tall man, to know we can fit into the Beetle puts a smile on my face ♥

When I was Grade 4 I was the tallest kid sitting at the very back, there was a bulletin board that stretches like I think 3 inches of the wall. Sometimes i'd hit my head on it very hard.

my dad is 6'4 and has really broad shoulders, we looked at buying a 2018 Mazda 2 and with the seat lowered all the way and all the way back he could barely get in (it actually took like 2 min for him to get in). We then realised that he could not sit straight and had to sit at an angle to fit between the passenger seat and the b pillar. Safe to say we didn't by that car.

I drive a Ford Explorer XLT and at 5’11 I’m wayyyyy too tall, the head support is too short and I can barely see out the back window. So long story short even SUVS can be pretty awful for taller people.

There are a few elements missing from this video that are critical for talls: 1. B pillar placement. When I have seat all the way back (I'm 6'-7"), is my elbow behind the B-pillar? Often it is, and that is very uncomfortable on longer drives when you wish to put your left arm up. Also at drive through windows when you need to reach out your window. Whack! that is the sound of my elbow painlully hitting the B-pillar 2. center dash curvature above left knee. So many cars forget that drivers have left legs, with knees. Corvette is classic example. I can fit my leg under the steering wheel, but I can't bend my leg enough to get a foot on the gas peddle because the damn dashboard is in the way. 3. Sun visor placement. If my head is above the top of windscreen/sun visor, then I can't see straight ahead without craning my neck. Several of the vehicles had this problem, but because Cody wasn't driving, it was not notices. Trust me, 30 seconds on the road will show this flaw! Otherwise, enjoyable topic. I am a true believer (and sufferer) in the Conspiracy Against the Tall

I'm 6'4 and have no trouble with my BRZ. I just scoot the seat all the way back. It's not like I use the rear seats anyway, I just fold them down for extra room to put things.

Being 6'2 the Mustang is Perfect, in the passenger seat with the seat fully back I can extend my legs straight (just don't expect anyone taller than 5'7 in the seat behind you when you drive, and they won't even be that comfortable).

Hi. I'm not a freakishly tall dude at all being barely 6'4", but have to say your review is spot on. I'm not a freak. Shut up! Especially for the Nissan 370Z, I sat in one of these several years ago and it was horrible. ridiculous. 8 year old toy car interior. Any degree of comfort ends at basically 5' 6" even then...no way to avoid rubbing your skull on the ceiling every once in a while or all the time. Driving hell. Needless to say, I crowbarred myself back out and saw them as torture/death devices to run from screaming ever since.

Go sit in a Chevy BOLT EV! I own one and I'm 6'6''. It is completely electric and will literally blow the doors off all the cars you reviewed in this video. It's FUN to drive, my legs are almost straight with the sit back and I have a good 5" of clearance between my head and the ceiling! It's also great not having to ever buy gas, spark plugs, oil changes, tuneups, etc.

As another freak at 6"5' I'm telling you, you forgot about the most important criteria: visibility. It can be pretty dangerous when we can't see what's going on properly because our heads are much higher than what the designers had in mind.
