The cord and the hose on this unit pack up inside it, so you have one self-contained unit, ready to go, with no missing pieces. There's even on-board storage for the extra nozzles. And the cord and hose are long enough that it shouldn't have much trouble reaching even the back tires of your oversized SUV.
Operation is simple, plug it into your cigarette lighter port and start the engine (makes it work faster and won't run down your battery). Then clamp the hose onto the tire. The display lights up and shows the current pressure. You can select other units if need be. Just press the + button, it goes up in 1 PSI increments, until you reach the pressure you want, then press the power button. The inflator will run and shut off automatically when it reaches the set pressure. It's FAST! Others I've used never worked this well. I've tested the pressure reading on this unit against an old-school analog gauge and it was right on the money!
There's an LED light onboard for those cold, dark, rainy nights when this kind of thing happens. Not terribly bright but certainly will give you enough light to see the tire. The light operates while the compressor is running. This is an indispensable tool to keep in the trunk of your car. And should your tire have a hole, your spare is generally flat because no one ever checks them, so this can fill that up and you'll be back on the road in minutes instead of being stranded and waiting for a tow! Get one for each of your cars.
