I love and one of my fave things about God Almighty is how there's absolutely no doubt about God's words when it's really His words being spoken and taught. Rhe Battle That Rafes For Your .ind was my first sermon and my first time ever hearing of Times Square Church and the pastors there. I don't have a Christian in my life and was mentally tortured in what felt like near constant attacks of hopelessness. warring voices, accusing and condemning me. I'd cry hard different times through the day. I'd cry while washing dishes, in the shower,It makes you feel all alone and hopeless, I hope someone suffering this way reads this and I'm saying a prayer that if so that this let's them know that's a lie...they're all lies of the enemy. Anyway, I turned on KZfaq and while scoring, The Battle That rages for your mind by Carter Conlon was there. I KNOW GOD PUT IT IN MY PATH. I KNOW BEYOND ANY DOUBTS.

@Suzanne. GOD BLESS YOU! Christ delivers us from our troubles step-by-step. It is NOT overnight hun. I Prophesy right now, if you have a heart for Jesus, he will deliver you from your burdens and the Sin that easily causes you to stumble. He will heal you from your drug addiction, because he will heal the root of the addiction. You will cry in Christ, that does not mean you are failing. You will experience sorrow, and loss, but the difference is he will see you through, and in the process your Heart will be reshaped, your mind renewed, and your life changed. Christ loves the broken. He's counted every tear that has falling from your face. There is no curse on you that is not on the rest of us. We are all cursed with a Sinful nature. Some may be prone to drug addiction such as yourself, others to gambling, while others to sexual immorality, or even all 3! @I cry a lot and i hear having the lord I'm supposed to not live in fear. but that's all every day of my life - WE all struggle in this area with something.in our lives. Some more then others. Your fears will dissipate as you develop a closer relationship with him. It does not happen overnight. Do not get discouraged with yourself bcuz you still struggle with things. WE ALL DO! Christ will deliver you from a many of things, but we are still sinful flesh, so we will still battle somethings. Battling does not mean failing. Having Christ does not mean having a trouble free life, it does not mean at times you won't be scared, it does not mean at times you won't be tempted, it does not mean that you will not occasionally fall to sin, it means when these things do start happening, he will give you the power to endure them, and ultimately overcome them. He will do these things by Faith. You just have to believe and follow! I'm sorry about your grandson.

It's not your good works that bring you close to our Father. It's your surrender to Him. You can't do anything to impress God or make Him love you more than He already does. Ask Him to take you and your life and make it pleasing to Him. Study everything you can, and talk about what you read to Him. He will show you what He wants you to see. Much love. I lost my first hrandson and my third granddaughter. I know they're with God, so I'm comforted. Sending prayers.

Ps...I'm an addict as well, though my addiction began late in my life. I've done so many shameful things without the excuse of addiction, and God hasn't left me. Rather He has used my experiences to bring me to His truth, and give me compassion for those left behind, and ways to help them.

I wish I could talk to you. You sound very much like you're on the same path Iam, just a little nehind me. I know where the road is hard. I can help you avpid the pot holes and pitfalls on the road ahead of you. It would be a blessing to have a friendship of mutual understanding with a fellow traveler, and to dhare the light our Lord has given.
