My SO and I just took an international trip together. Our anxiety made us cranky with each other and made it difficult to enjoy at times. Totally get your concern about that, we didn’t think to even consider that because we haven’t traveled out of the US in over a year. Definitely continue to discuss how comfortable you’re feeling as it gets closer to the date!

HAHA glad it wasn't us! It was so stressful! It was alot better when we did NYC in the fall though so I promise it gets better with each trip I just think the first "post-COVID' trip is very stressful. We're like 95% sure we are going to just go for it! But will keep the vlog updated obviously :)

Aw you're so welcome! We are staying home for the most part this week & for the following week but luckily we live 30min away from downtown! Crowds are one of my biggest PTSD triggers so you won't catch me anywhere near there for the forseeable future haha. But thank you for thinking of me, trying to stay safe & positive as a Canadian right now xo

I 100% understand the dilemma about going to Disney. I just went to Spain from LA 3 weeks ago and I was stressed the whole trip. Luckily no one tested positive but the possibility of being stuck out there and having to pay a whole other week of a hotel was too much. I told myself that I wouldn’t do any more international trips until restrictions are lifted.

Yea that's fair- luckily there are some really great travel insurances out there that cover COVID for pretty cheap ($100/person) but we're still so split on what to do!

LOVE long vlogs 🥰 and i have IBS and i get random bouts of nausea, then i just won’t want to eat. it gets worse when i have my migraines. you’re definitely not the only person experiencing that!

in regards to your disney trip - as a travel agent who is still actively seeing people travel (including to disney) i think that as long as you're vaccinated and boosted and are careful with your masking and doing things to lower your risk of getting it that's all you can really do! definitely have travel insurance that would cover medical costs for covid and prepare and plan to potentially need to quarantine there. i also have a solo disney trip booked for may for myself and still can't decide if it's worth the risk!

Thanks for this!! So grateful for travel agents as ours has made it so easy to book/cancel time and time again. I defintely have started looking into travel insurance & just have to wait and see how the numbers go down! We've travelled to the US a few times back in 2021 so we're definitely comfortable with travelling in general but theme parks are a whole new playing field 😂

Your thinking is spot on!! Good for you for keeping his needs important! He sees patients day today and it's important that he stays healthy. It's important you stay healthy too but I work from home also in healthcare and it's a different type of environment. I know it's difficult I haven't been back to Disney since Covid. I was a passholder for a couple years also. But I know it's always gonna be there so I'll go when I'm ready and it's comfortable to go.

throughout FL there are a lot of free testing sites, rapid etc. I'm sure near disney there are some that are close by. Florida is 'open season' so you really need to be diligent here w/ masks, hand cleaning. Hope it works out. :)

I have ibs too and I get nauseated easily but in different ways. I will get really hungry and then cook something and then I won't be hungry anymore

We went to Disneyworld in May 2021. I was very nervous about it, but in the end I’m glad we went. Although we didn’t have the issue of leaving the country.

Here in the states, specifically Iowa, I have noticed we are seeing the shortage and it sucks because it is usually stuff I need for recipes. And I try and go on my day off (different every week) and only once a week in the mornings and sometimes they aren't stocked up. I hate going to the grocery store (even pre covid) lol

I ended up returning it! It would be way too short to wear on vacation honestly and it wasn't the most comfortable which is the most important thing!!

I was supposed to be in Disney earlier this month and my family just decided not to. We are DVC members and huge Disney people as well, but especially the cases in Florida - that’s a no for us. I’m honestly so upset but I feel safer knowing I won’t put myself at risk.

You and I both. This is our 6th trip that we're trying to take since 2020 so frustrating. It's so hard too because our trip isn't for another 2 months which so much can change between now and then so it's conflicting..

@@CarterSullivan agreed- that has to be the most difficult part because since the situation is ever-changing its SO hard to make decisions. This would’ve our first and probably last trip together as a family in YEARS so we are bummed. I’m new to your channel but loving the videos and your energy, I feel like we’d be besties in rl HAHA but anyways you’ll make the right choice for you - I agree with what you said about I’m not necessarily scared is getting COVID, it’s more the time and finance issues that come with getting it and not purposely putting myself in higher-risk situations if that makes sense. Still waiting for the day I get to take my bf there too. Hang in there!!🥰 I always like to say it’s a “good” problem to have when I get anxious about it..

I don't have IBS but I do have neurogenic bowel and GERD. Have you thought about getting an EGD for your nausea/vomiting?

I don't ever actually GET sick I just get random bouts of nausea and it's only a few times a year! If it gets worse I'd go talk to my doctor about it but I don't think that is necessary right now! But at least now I know I can keep it on my radar in case it ever gets worse so thank you☺️

In terms of COVID, don’t let people gaslight about your concerns. Florida has a higher unvaccinated rate. My partner and I are both medical students in California and got COVID over the holidays. It sucked because of the quarantine issues you were talking about. Being patient-facing causes a whole extra set of worries that a lot of people don’t realize.

This this this!!! So important. I'm glad someone else gets it. We have a whole other side to think about when travelling which is my boyfriend's already immunocompromised patients😅 Only time will tell if we feel comfortable going! Yes FL's high unvaccinated rate does concern me- we were in NYC in Dec and felt alot safer knowing we has to show proof of vax anywhere indoors.
