Brianna ended up doing my make up which I am forever grateful for because we can tell from my trial I do not enjoy doing it myself🤣 yeah definitely really hard to like apply with a heavy your hand, but still wanna look like yourself, but I think it ended up turning out perfectly!!

i’m so happy you still did things on your wedding day to make it feel special. you didn’t just throw on a white dress and go to the court house. all those little touches are what made my backyard wedding feel special

Oh my, the way I am panicking for doing my make up, setting a rule of not buying everything new a month before and practicing it once a week for 3 months,(and I am a full on eyeshadow makeup person) and seeing how you are putting false lash for the first time a week of... Damn I am jealous, I would love to not be so anxious and type A about it

So the plan the whole time was that my bestfriend wS doing my makeup! I was just practicing so I could tell her what I liked and I didn't! Which is why I wasn't super stressed about it. If I was actually my own wedding they make up I would've practiced for months and months before for sure!

I did a traditional wedding in 2022, albeit “very cheap”, like less than 15k (air quotes cause it still cost money but in comparison to the 30k I see as standard today, it was a deal) we lucked out haha but we also were in the middle of nowhere in Quebec. But I do see the appeal of eloping ❤ cause there was some family drama on the day of my wedding (thankfully I wasn’t there to witness it). Loved my wedding day, partied till 4 am 😂 but yeah I can see the appeal of an elopement to not deal with the crazies of other people (family mainly honestly). Anyway congratulations ❤ glad that you stuck to what felt right for you!

Honestly love that for you!! It wasn't even the family or drama that made us want to elope, more just that it felt like a very special day to keep between us. I never imagined myself walking down the aisle and sharing my vows in front of people so eloping felt right for us in that sense!

We had a good group of friends from university that were integral to us meeting and to “our story” that’s why we chose to do something more “public” let’s say haha. But I do see the appeal and beauty of eloping as well :)
