They had to use a character from Colorado - where everyone loves hockey - to sponsor a hockey team in Los Angeles - where hardly anybody gives a damn about hockey, in order to popularize a simple cheer. Despite the fact that Matt Parker and Trey Stone (South Park creators) live in Los Angeles, this is not as well known, compared to the popularity of South Park fans worldwide, knowing that South Park takes place in Colorado. The only reason the Kings are getting any attention is because they've played so well this year, otherwise, they would be completely ignored, like usual. I'm not hating on the Kings at all. I like them and I'm proud of them. I'm just saying, if it was any other team besides the Kings, here in Los Angeles, where I actually live, and KNOW that hockey is usually the LAST sport that is talked about on the news - if it's ever even MENTIONED AT ALL - and games are never broadcast on the main networks. Hockey, for the most part, is not as popular in Los Angeles, compared to basketball, football and baseball. Certain regions of different parts of the US favor certain sports over others, just the same as it is for other countries. When was the last time you saw a rugby game on an American network? It's the national sport in New Zealand and very popular around Europe, Australia and Africa. Soccer is mostly popular everywhere in the world, excluding US, but mostly popular with the American hispanics. Try finding a soccer game with English announcers in the USA. Lacrosse, is majorly popular in Canada, but ask the average person in the US to explain how the sport is played and you'll get a bunch of stupid answers, the best being, "Isn't that the one with a net on the end of a stick?" I love South Park and I love hockey, don't get me wrong. I am super proud of the Kings. They've done a great job. My point that I'm trying to make, is, hockey has just never really been as widely popular in Los Angeles as it is in other states, especially since the Wayne Gretzky age. I am glad hockey is making a great comeback, as the Kings performance is crucial for hockey's popularity growth in Los Angeles. Let's keep hockey super popular down here, Los Angeles! GO KINGS GO! ... OMG... I never thought I'd see the day when CARTMAN does something GOOD AND NICE FOR ANYONE!

Y'all shut up who says people who live out of a team's market can't be fans of that team. I'm a Yankees fan in Los Angeles. I've lived in LA my entire life and I hate the dodgers. just because cartman and the rest of south park is in colorado doesn't mean they have to be avs fans. GO KINGS GO

yes i was, sharks dominated first 2 games, the sharks choke because of coaching... my reason to put the blame on coach is because ok, we dominated first 2 game quick let in so much goals wasnt even funny. Now game game 6 i believe for sharks the coaching decided to go with stallock, wrong move.

Or the Kings realized what they were doing wrong and fixed it. They weren't playing like themselves the first two games, they didn't protect the puck at all. Not only that, but the defensemen and the forwards finally started playing like they should and they shut the sharks down. They won the Jennings for a reason.

Yea true but... I still think the sjs coach was wrong, big mistake. Should of went with Niemi all the way. Like how kings did, although bad first 2 games sutter still went to quick to win games. I think McClellan wasn't confident in Niemi.

Yeah, but then again Niemi didn't show that he deserved the confidence of the team. Quick is one of the maybe 3 goalies in hockey that can actually take games away from opposing teams. When he's on, a brick wall gives less than Quick. Niemi was never like that. I definitely agree that you should stick with your starter, but if you need a change and you trust the backup guy almost as well as the starter, it could provide a nice little fire for the team. It didn't work for the Sharks, but it's doing that for the Ducks right now.
