I'll be upfront, I'm not posting this because I'm a One Piece fan. I only casually watched the 4Kids dub but never properly got into it. I'm posting this promo because it carries with it a personal anecdote of mine about the history of One Piece's final days on Cartoon Network Australia.
One Piece's post-4Kids dub aired on Cartoon Network on weekday mornings at about 8:30am. I was late for school one morning and the TV was on Cartoon Network in the background. The One Piece show that I saw was a very different show to the one I knew. There was (gasp!) swearing like "crap" and "frickin". I thought to myself "this isn't going to last very long" and wouldn't you know it within two weeks all of the promos just stopped (apart from the "coming up next" ones), the show moved to a 9pm slot, burned off before the entire show (including the 4Kids episodes) were never seen again. It seems Cartoon Network Australia bought the new dubs thinking they would be just as kid-friendly as the 4Kids ones.
This promo was captured in January 2009 during the period where it aired at 9pm, on a VHS tape containing one of my all-time favourite shows, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (seriously watch it, it's like nothing you've ever seen).
