Charles-Émile Reynaud (1844-1918) was a french science teacher and inventor of Praxinoscope (1877) and Theatre Optique (1888) that allowed him to achieve the first cartoons in animation cinema history (called Pantomimes Lumineuses, 1892), 3 years before the public screening of cinematograph by Lumiere Brothers.
A lot of his works and series are now lost, here we have what remains of his filmography, Praxinoscope strips and Theatre Optique short animations:
"Pauvre Pierrot" (1892)
"Autour d'une cabine (1894)
