Actually, Danger Force is ending it's run to bring an end of an era. But Nick and Disney has been going all in to their animated content. Back in the mid-2010s, Disney Channel moved most of their animated shows to DXD while focusing more on sitcoms until in around 2018 when they slowly focus on animation again if not almost fully focused. And animation can easily appeal to both kids and older audiences like adults as they are more creative while being both hard and expensive to do. It really is interesting how Nick and Disney is going all in to animation, especially on Disney with it's upcoming slate.

It's so crazy that these 2 are ending their sitcoms early, and playing more of their toons, especially for Disney since they're reliant on sitcoms

Likely for the best Cartoons are the main focus of channels, Child Actors have been treated pretty poorly in the past.

I think Covid is part of the reason why this happened. When the sitcoms were forced to shut down animators could make cartoons from home.

Side hustle, warped, drama club and the astronauts were the last live action shows on nickelodeon that canceled way too soon before erin and Aaron, danger force and possibly even that girl lay lay got the axe.

Honestly, live action shows nowadays doesn’t have same touch compared to live actions from the 90s to early 2010s that kids and adults will watch.

Tbh, I really didn't care for any of these sitcoms, I mean nothing could ever beat the original sitcoms from the 2000s and early 2010s so I doubt that I would care about any of these new sitcoms being cancelled, think about it it's nice to see Animation rise again for Nick and Disney...unlike CN who is going through a lot of misery thanks to WBD 🙄

Josh I don’t have a problem with live action content, however they somehow always overtake the schedule every year on their channels, but now this is probably the time for them to make changes with their animation block. Hell I remember last year when Erin and Aaron was premiering on Nick after the kids choice awards and said to myself “( I wonder how long this show gonna last )” and to my surprise it was pulled including danger force after new episodes had already been aired like a months ago😅😂. Wouldn’t be surprised if really loud house gets canceled as well.

I would not be surpised if Rock, Paper, Scissors get screwed over like It's Pony or Middlemost Post. Sucks that Erin and Aaron lasted one season. Ava Ro made that show special for me.

Honestly, I'm more of a cartoon person rather than a live-action sitcom person, even though I enjoy live-action shows. What do you expect? I'm a cartoon/animation fan.

2024 has already been a struggle Nickelodeon not just for their sitcoms but also their animated content. Last year I saw on their NickALive that Nickelodeon had been losing rights to their newer show called “ Zokie of Planet Ruby “ by moving it to Amazon prime video and moving ANOTHER new show by putting it on their SISTERS Channel Nicktoons called “ The twisted timeline of Sammy and raj “ but not on their main channel 🤦🏾‍♂️. Now Even though Rock paper scissors had finally got a fair shot by Nick but here’s the thing? That show had already debuted on Nickelodeon’s KZfaq channel for the past 6 months and showing new episodes WAY before in premiered on the channel😅

Hopefully Disney Channel will begin letting their cartoons run longer. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur have the potential to break the 4 season max and lasts 6 seasons and a movie! and Kiff should at least lasts 4 (maybe 5) seasons nothing less

Some of these live-action kidcom cancellations are also potentially due to the upcoming ID special "Quiet on the Set - The Dark Side of Kids TV" - which may be leading to Disney and Nick dumping live-action sitcoms due to the damning testimony expected (notably anything Dan Schneider related). Also, there's a lack of "bankable" kid stars these days. Also, animation has a better chance of success and if successful, can last longer and they can recast characters with new VAs - something you can't do with live action shows.

This is why i don't really watch the nick/disney channel sitcoms anymore. I only stick with the aniamted shows on there channels now. Also I really hope to here your opinion on rock paper scissors soon.

It makes me happy to hear you liked Saturdays, I miss that show so much. Awesome show with awesome representation. Deserved better, it was better than a lot of the other sitcoms airing at the time.

After watching BionicPig's recent Nickelodeon video, I can see why these networks decided to shake up and moved on to animation more.

I think another reason why at least for Disney Channel they don’t have a lot of live action shows is because it’s probably hard to look for newer people to make an idol of. Cuz if you remember from the late 2000s to the late 2010s they kinda slowly stopped making shows about a person who would end up being a musician like a pop singer. I’m not saying that every Disney Channel live action series did this, but one of the actors would end up becoming a singer or would make a few music videos before deciding to becoming a full on actor or just have a normal life outside of Hollywood like B Bridget Millder.

I don't blame them because all of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel live action shows suck! At least there animated shows are still good like Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur, The Loud House, Hailey on It, Kiff & Big City Greens

I'm interested in seeing what new programs will be coming for these networks, but I also feel kinda sad knowing that these kids' sitcoms are kind of a dying brand. I actually really liked Erin and Aaron, but I can see why it and other shows are coming to an end. Danger Force aired for a good amount of time as a continuation of Henry Danger, That Girl Lay Lay and Young Dylan ran for a good amount of time, Side Hustle's popularity died as it got stale real quick. Throughout the highs and lows of these Nick sitcoms, they were always at least interesting to check out. On the bright side, this alongside the potential new direction from the network's president gives me some hope we'll get more Nicktoons to air alongside Spongebob. I really enjoyed It's Pony and Middlemost Post, The Patrick Show, not as much. So it would be cool to see more Nicktoons come out from this. Still hope we get more sitcoms though.

Sometimes I wished Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel can go back to the way they were, in other words, when they have good shows instead of their respective channels making new ones that only make their downfalls worse, although some tv shows back in the day, or even episodes, weren’t so great (Dave the Barbarian, ICarly, Victorious, Milo Murphy’s Law, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Wander Over Yonder, The Mighty B, Tak and the Power of Juju, Pickle and Peanut, Kick Buttowski, even sitcoms), basically some bad shows shouldn’t even exist/be made.
