My crazy theory is that corrupt gems aren't actually corrupt, but more like de-evolved. Note that we have seen multiple corrupt gems having the same corrupt form. Most notably, Centipeetel's crew all took on the same corruption form that she has, and they all seemed to be the same kind of gem. And almost all corrupt gems have a more bestial or animal-like form. My theory is that the diamonds are the only naturally humanoid gems and they have modified the other gems to also be humanoid in form. So, the "natural" form of most gems is actually their corrupt form, and this is why it's hard to heal a corrupt gem, because they aren't exactly how they are supposed to be in either form.

Why Rose would be against shattering opposing gems but shattered a Diamond herself. How Rose could have even shattered Pink Diamond with her sword. Why Pearl and Rose made comments through the series that made it sound like she came from space even though she supposedly came from Earth. Why Pearl had a body suit with a pink diamond on it. Why Pearl said that Steven looked so much like his mother even though he hardly reminds me of Rose. Because he's similar in some ways to Pink Diamond. Personally, I thought that Pearl belonged to White Diamond and that she shattered Pink Diamond. Pink Diamond is actually my favorite character after the reveal. I hope we get to see more of her backstory.

Right now she's being established as a morally gray character, which is great especially for a kids show, but going back and saying "ahah, don't worry, Rose is still an angel who didn't do anything wrong ever uwu" would be just, uh, counterproductive, I think.

I think rose didn't SHATTER pink diamond, but instead bubbled her. The sword was meant to destroy the physical forms only, and not the gem. Rose probably fought pink diamond and with her sword, cut through the physical form of pink diamond. Rose might of hid the bubbled gem of pink diamond away somewhere where no one could find it. Maybe, no one had ever cut through the physical form of a diamond before and since no one saw pink diamond again, they thought she was shattered. Eyeball "saw" it with his own eye, because he probably saw rose cut through the physical form! That's just my idea though.

I think there's more to that look on Pearl's face. Look at Amethyst and Garnet when they're hearing about the shattering. They look uncomfortable. Now look at Pearl. She is _silently losing her shit._ She's a fancy pearl, isn't she? Suitable, perhaps, for a queen? But then, she's also defective. Fun fact: pearls with eccentricities are worth less. Her pearl is oblong, and ringed to boot. So, imagine a pearl, meant to serve a queen, but not at all suitable. Imagine the rejection she'd face daily. With what we know of pearl, and how much she clings to the approval of someone stronger... don't you think that'd drive her a little crazy? Please, no more Lion Is Pink Diamond theories! We've seen that Lion was just a lion before, in flashbacks. He has no gem, just a pocket dimension. He's powered some other way. Other gems pull their weapons straight from their diamond, but Lion's whole BODY accesses his pocket dimension. He's not a gem, or a diamond. And he's male.

I think the reason Pink Diamond has one colony is because of the diamond logo scale. White Diamond is at the top, with the most orbs in her mural. Blue and Yellow are on the sides beneath white, with their amount of orbs looking even. At the bottom of the former Diamond Authority symbol is the Pink Diamond, and Pink is left with the Earth and the Moon.

Here's a thought: A different Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond.

The points about Rose not shattering Pink diamond were really interesting, and a really cool idea I might even start believing! However I don't think Pink Diamond is Lion.. I think that Lion is the 50% gem left over from creating Steven (Since he's 50% Human 50% gem, and you can't destroy energy). This would also explain why Lion doesn't have a gem, while all the other gem-monsters have one. Lion also carries items associated with Rose over the years, making me believe that inside Lion is Rose's inner world. The place one would go if poofed. Inside Rose's gem would also be the perfect fit for her to hide precious items (Her being the only one entering), such as bubbled gems she didn't want the others finding out about (Bismuth), these being able to enter since we once heard that a bubbled gem goes home. We see how Pearl is able to summon items from inside her gem, Rose may have been able to as well? I also think the reason why Steven is able to enter Lion because his 50% Gem self lets him, however the inner world doesn't accept the human half, not allowing him to breathe. It would also make sense for the leftover energy to manifest into a lion, since Rose seems to have a connection to them.

Given what Bismuth said about how Rose questioned the Breaking Point, I'd have to say that Pink Diamond was not shattered and that something else happened to her. I'm willing to believe that Lion is Pink Diamond, because we know virtually nothing about Lion's origins at all, he's the character we know about the least, so who's to say Lion isn't Pink Diamond or has ties to her. Alternatively, I say someone shape-shifted into Rose and shattered Pink Diamond, possibly Pearl given how she acted when Eyeball stated that Pink was shattered to the Crystal Gems, but that's just my theory (and no I am not making a Game Theory joke).

My theory is that Pink Diamond wasn't shattered. I think that PD just fell in love with Earth and didn't want to destroy it! So to stop the other Diamonds for them to kill her PD waked her death! Blaming Rose, Steven's mother that she killed her. And that PD is just somewhere bubbled, like in the chest in Lion so that they don't find her. So I think that Eyeball is right, that she saw Rose destroy PD's form with her sword, and then Eyeball said that "she saw Rose shatter PD". And then everyone believed her because Robbies are stupid!!!

The theory is pretty legit, but where would lion's/corrupted pink diamond's gem be? Even corrupted gems have their gems on them. I believe that lion is the Rose Quartz gem's physical body. Since Steven doesn't need to have a "hologram" for his physical body because he already has one, it becomes lion. And lion's mane is where the body can go when the gem is poofed. It also explains why only Steven can go there. I rest my case. *Drops microphone*

That's a reasonable theory. I just wanted to point out that the theory of Rose actually being Pink Diamond is hardly dead. It's very much possible that Pink Diamond created an alter ego for herself- Rose Quartz and became her after reforming her physical form while shattering a decoy. We know that Rose had the ability to create sentient fauna and we know Steven can travel into dreams and even take full mind control over someone's body. Who's to say Rose couldn't have specifically taken over a host body only to shatter it for show and then "wake up" as Rose Quartz? I don't necessarily believe that but I do agree that Rose likely didn't kill Pink Diamond and the sword argument is a very valid one. Prior to Bismuth's forge, Gems seemingly had no direct ability to shatter each other, that's what made the invention of the Breaking Point such a big step. But if Bismuth only joined after Pink was shattered, she couldn't have forged the sword herself. Ruby remembers the sword so she clearly had it when she "shattered" Pink Diamond but if it is indeed the sword Bismuth was talking about then it couldn't have possibly shattered Pink Diamond. At the same time, Rose shouldn't have had her sword at that point if it was forged by Bismuth. I assumed that the shattering of Pink Diamond was precisely what moved Rose to ask for a blade that could poof a Gem without as much scratching the Gem. Call it a sense of guilt. But now I see there's something very wonky about the timeline of the entire ordeal.
