Carved chest of drawers

In this video I demonstrate the process of making a chest of drawers.
I've had the idea of making such piece of furniture for a long time but only dared to give it a go now.
I made the top from a rotten part of an old oak board that would otherwise have been burned in the fireplace. However, the epoxy resin soaked everything, fastened it and gave this wood a second life.
I decided to make the drawers from ash. It is lighter in color, and the wood is strong and hard, hence the carving process took a long time. The outcome was definitely worth the effort. I still haven't decided where to place this piece of furniture, but Im quite happy to have materialized another idea that was brewing in my head for a long time.

Nick, I don't often admit to not knowing what to say-just ask my wife. 🤨And this piece-it doesn't need me, speaks for itself. My goodness Nick, you made that look Too Easy with your great editing. Carving inside and out had to be a bit exhausting to match it all up like that and of course your unique style of joinery set your wonderful piece apart from furniture to artisanship! Thank you, as always, for your support, it was not easy. I did almost all the carving in the light of a rechargeable flashlight. In January, we had practically no light. Thank God and our energy workers, now everything has stabilized.

Nick, While I thoroughly enjoy woodworking, I also enjoy watching how other go about their projects. I just watched 3 of your projects and am impressed, not just with your creative projects, but also how you use various tools and the techniques you choose to reach your ends. The result is a fine piece of artwork and furniture. I will be watching more of your creative work, tool choice and techniques and expect to incorporate some on my own projects. As I watch your videos I think of the legacy you leave your family. Not just the beautiful furniture pieces, but also the memories... One day, when you're gone & the kids are adults, they can lovingly run their hands on the pieces & think "My Dad made this!" They will also have the videos to help keep those memories strong. As a parent, I admire your involving your children in the projects to keep their minds off of the atrocities going on around them. Their resilience and strength shows your character. Thank you for your support, January was an extremely difficult month. There was enough electricity only to charge the batteries. Now, thanks to the energy workers, the situation has stabilized.
