Add some well placed skelletons looking through telescopes at your new place and you will have the coolest house on the block.

I know what you're saying about being overcast. I'm just north of you in Maine. I recently got a new piece of kit and want to try it out. Love the video. Clear skies to you.

Such a great idea for a video! I discovered that drill trick many moons ago when my daughter wanted me to carve Wendy, the fairy from Peter Pan, for her. I needed something to create a pixi-dust effect and I ended up using the drill. There’s something both unexpectedly satisfying and scary about the fact that I find it satisfying drilling into the flesh of a pumpkin!

For those in Metric land wanting to follow along with the seed roasting: 350°F is approx. 175°C. The rest of the measurements map straight onto their metric counterparts one-to-one. So the 15 minutes Imperial correspond to 15 minutes in Metric, and likewise for the 20 minutes. 😂

This is awesome Nico! Wasn't sure how you were going to takle the Moon and M45 to carving but the results are wonderful. Definitely gives me some ideas for this upcoming Halloween! 🎃

I wonder if glow-in-the-dark paint or UV paint with a black light would have worked for the painted pumpkin.

My partners and I did something similar but were definitely not that good with carving so we ended up just doing the Virgo, Cancer, and Scorpio constellations (our astrological sun signs). But your carvings look amazing! I also love roasted Pumpkin seeds. I usually will do sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup with them.

Thanks for sharing. I do stupidly complex pumpkin carvings and the transfer method you use is better than my method of poking holes and playing connect the dots. Now I have some tips for you. First, I recommend carving first before you eviscerate the pumpkin and do it in one sitting. Now I never carve all the way through because we can adjust the light by shaving away from the inside. I was able to pick up some clay carving tools on Amazon that came with a great tool that is basically a sharp metal loop that is perfect for cleaning out the inside of the pumpkin and shaving the walls. Works 1000x better than a spoon. I use xacto knives for carving for the precision. I tried a dremel once but it just made mush out of the pumpkin.
