Basically the variable steering means more accuracy closer to the center so you've got more control over how much the wheels actually turn. But closer to full lock you have less accuracy so the wheels turn more with less steering input. Hopefully that helped some of you :)

Variable steering ratio: is a system that prevents people who don't drive well from messing things up at high speed by reducing the angle the wheel moves in respect to the steering input, because of course if you are driving in excess of 110mph you should be very gentle with the wheel unlike like when you are doing 50. however, if you are a good driver this is must certainly going to bug you because your steering inputs will always have a different result depending on your speed and sometimes even your slip angle because the car will decide for you and cars doesn't have eyes on the road. so if you know how to drive skip that option if possible.

Transmission is the ZF 8-Speed torque converter automatic. Also the engine is the audi 4.0 V8. Porsche doesn’t make an in-house V8 currently.

Variable ratio steering (at least, what I understand of it and wanted to share): On a normal car, the typical steering ratio is between <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="721">12:1</a> and <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1201">20:1</a>. If we use <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="901">15:1</a> as an example, this means that for every 15 degrees that you turn the steering wheel, the front tyres will turn 1 degree in the same direction. This ratio is constant, and does not change from the centre position all the way to full lock, meaning that you have no additional increase to your steering angle at any point while you turn the steering wheel. On the other hand, variable ratio steering means that this ratio increases as you keep turning the steering wheel. For example (I have no idea what Bentley would be using), the steering ratio might start at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="901">15:1</a> - 15 degrees on the steering wheel for 1 degree at the tyre - but might reach <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1801">30:1</a> by the time you reach full lock, effectively doubling how much the tyres can turn at maximum steering angle. This can be useful for 3 reasons: 1) It can improve your turning circle when performing narrow manoeuvres, as you'll be able to turn more tightly with less steering input 2) It can prevent oversteering at high speeds, as you will only need to provide gradual steering inputs to turn further. 3) For controlling powerslides or drifts, you wouldn't have to turn the steering wheel as far to get a greater steering angle, meaning that you should be able to catch slides quicker and easier. This could all be wrong, so please leave a comment to clear it up if it is! But if it's right, I'm hoping this helps people (and Matt!) understand the concept. I probably should've paused the review to type this so I'm gonna watch it back now 😅

@@LDBCFC British car, with British branding, assembled in England, but German owned. P.S: in all seriousness, thanks for the information, I always thought Bentley and Mini were just manufactured in Germany but branded as an British car, don't get me wrong, like I still knew they were originally British cars but ever since they were bought by German companies, I always thought that the only British ties that remained were the branding.
