Now THIS is what you call a drag race line-up!
We’ve got Mat back in the Koenigsegg Agera RST, and he’s facing off against the almighty Porsche 911 Turbo S and an incredibly tuned Audi TT RS!
So let’s see how these three behemoths compare. Starting with the Koenigsegg, it’s powered by an incredible 5-litre twin-turbo V8 that delivers an eye-watering 1,360hp and 1,573Nm of torque. It’s equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and sends all of its power to the rear wheels. It’s also super light, tipping the scales at 1,395kg, and it’s valued at a cool £3,500,000!
Alongside him we have the ever-reliable Porsche 911 Turbo S. Powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, it can put down 650hp and 800Nm of torque. It tips the scales at around 1,640kg, and it’s valued at £180,000.
Then we have the tuned TT RS. It’s powered by a 3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, but the power output has been massively turned up! As a result, it can now put down an incredible 950hp!! It’s also pretty light, tipping the scales at just 1,450kg. However, it has one key problem compared to the other competitors - it’s only equipped with a manual gearbox!
So the Koenigsegg’s the most powerful car here, but will the RWD prove to be its downfall? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

@@Heeect00rrr The Porche was trounced in the rolling race when you eliminate AWD vs RWD differences. AWD drive cars will always win against RWD especially if the RWD has over a 1000hp going through the rear wheels its just how physic's work. Having said that the new Jesko will be much quicker of the line and has the fastest shifting gearbox ever created so that may win.

All about traction. If the Agera were AWD, it would probably go thru the 1/4 at around 180 mph or more. The 911 is truly a sprinter, whereas the Koenigsegg is a tad slow on the start, but is a Marathon monster.

@@williewade1awd would certainly help acceleration but theres zero chance it would hit 180 in the 1/4... it hit 190 in a half mile starting at 40mph where traction wasnt much factor. 180mph is like 7.5s 1/4 mile which is about 1.5s quicker than the quickest production car

@@eliaallegri9009 I agree with OP. It's not 'just simply because it's awd' why it is beating almost everything, regardless of their hp. I believe Porsche did some black magic trickery regarding balance, traction and power delivery. This model-year Turbo S is clearly overachieving in regards to launching from 0 mph. Porsche performance quality is also shown in how the GT3 RS is lapping so fast with such 'low' hp and especially torque. I don't know a more efficient supercar. I don't think there is one. They are extremely impressive.

It’s amazing just how much the 911 Turbo S punches above its weight in terms of beating cars that have twice the power and have a much higher top speed than it does to the 1/4 mile. Porsche really did make something special.

@@Riisktakerr and your point? It's well known the plaid launches better than even hypercars, but that's because it's an EV. The plaid has electric motors with instant torque to the wheels. Very different from an ICE which has to send that power through a transmission then to the wheels. Also the plaid has over 1000hp and the 911 has 650, but it manages to put the power down better than a lot of cars with more power. The Porsche is a better car in every way possible.

In the combustion engine world, the 911 is king. You can launch it again and again and again and it still beats basically anything thats not a hypercar (and even most ICE hypercars). You have to admire the Porsche engineering. These videos are the best ads the Porsche marketing department could ask for.

I’ve seen a 1000hp awd 6th gen civic lx that weighed in at 2300lbs with the roll cage and driver the guy said he had 40k into it and was daily driving it at around 4-500hp but could turn up the boost for racing but usually broke stuff trying to launch it but would still do 9 seconds without even launching it, with the launch it’s a 7 second car

Most people would rather have something that wins 90% of the time that you can actually use than something you only take out occasionaly and costs 40+ times to achieve it. And I bet that someone who actually owns a Koenigsegg probably has a 911 Turbo S as daily for that same reason. You're comment is a stupid as using a Saturn V rocket as an example to say a SR-71 is slow. Its stupid and pointless.
