Agreed, checking its MOT history its done over 110,000 miles. The Second half of that mileage definitely not meticulously cared for going by its MOT failures. Lost its cats at one point too...

Well 13.2 on 1/4 mile is still quite quick though. Can't imagine that being significantly slower than when new

e46 m3s are known for only running around 310 some people have had them dynod and there running 290 in some cases.

It’s Carbonschwarz, their metallic dark navy blue. Definitely one of the best colors and wheel combos 👍🏼

it's kinda pointless to compare but 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo took 12.4s to quarter mile and this Yaris did it in 12.5s.

This e46 feels slow I didn't see the speedo in this drag race but I saw an actual e46 like this(probably lost few horses) cause I saw an e36 m3 3.2L faster than an e46 m3 and both were stock

That e46 will always be e46 as well so what's your point? GR has better acceleration due to AWD, better handling due to body to weight ratio, and it's a newer car as well.

Yes, it shouldn't be deep into 5th gear for it to pass. Power to weight is even a little bit better on the E46 and it's RWD, so less drivetrain loss

Probably 20 years of use and not regular mantienance, not changing oil on time or at all in gearbox/rear diff etc. Also NA engine many times have less power in real world than on test condition, on the other hand boosted engines tend to be opposite.

It's not really a Yaris, it's a rally bred car from Toyota with a Yaris body shell.

But speed can be compared, and it is fair to do so. For some in the 90s, older cars were faster (at least in europe) thx to newer regulations. Now it has changed again (for some time already...), and people must accept that older cars are most of the time slower with the same base numbers. But you CAN compare them, that is even the whole point of doing races.

In fact, I think the BWM is doing fine in this test, especially when you consider that is way cheaper (as a used car). Y'all tripping and crazy. It is a Toyota engine it will be one of the most reliable and durable cars in the world and it won't cost your kids college fund for maintenance and repair. In the minumum it won't lose performance at the same age as the M3. M3 definitely lost some luster and horsepower.

@@Delnevo420 look at the video interior shot of the m3. It is the gear shifter mechanism which is a arguably the best market leading full short shifter kit. CAE available for many car models too. Have one on a b5 s4 complete transformation from stock

See the thing is it doesn't this test is wrong. Look up any video of a gr yaris qm time it should be at the very least 13.5 seconds that's what owners of the cars say in another comment... This car isn't stock something just doesn't add up
