Danae Delange What girl didn't have a crush on this guy. When I saw the Princess Bride for the first time when I was in my teens I thought Carey Elwes was so devastingly handsome.

cary brought the good luck to my life. since then there's the rainbow in my sky and i become happy everytime i see cary's beautiful face. cary,i really thank you so much. i wish i could meet you but i'm a japanese in japan. so i can't. oh cary,i know you are a sweet and nice guy. that's why i love you. please take care of yourself.

that one line in extradition 2, the actual extradition part. his last line in that episode. "tooda loo" best that episode is in psych

I have tried to hear it in Saw, but I just can't, he did such a good job masking his accent in that movie. The fear and desperation he showed in Saw was also probably the most genuine I've seen in any psychological horror film

You can hear it very faintly and I think it surely comes back full force whenever he visits his family in the UK.

EmilyGreene1984 It's similar to Frank Oz, Oz has a very light British accent that's barely audible. Elwes is the "Alan Young" of this generation. Like Elwes, Young covered up his UK accent for decades, but by the 1980s, he decided to authentically use it once he was cast as the voice of Scrooge McDuck.

What happened to his English accent? Did he live in the states and lost his accent? 😱

He has primarily lived in the states for nearly 40 years now and his wife of 25 years is also American. He can easily re-affect his original accent if he wants to but just speaking casually his accent is probably 60% American 40% English.
