Cascade Pass, Horseshoe Basin, Stehekin (3-day Backpacking Trip), North Cascades NP, WA [4K]

Жыл бұрынThis is the highlight of our 3-day backpacking trip from Cascade pass to Stehekin village (Aug 2021). Cascade river road was washed out at milepost 20 and was closed. So, we started from Eldorado peak trailhead parking which added 3 extra miles. Due to local wildfires, the sky was smoky and the park was closed (It was found out at the trailhead). We saw nobody from the parking area to all the way down to High Bridge campground in Stehekin valley!

Wonderful backpack adventure, easy and so scenic. Check ahead on status of Cascade River Road. Stehekin is a gem.

The second car was already parked at Chelan the day before starting the trip.

@@user-kh6ck9eq8i Thanks for sharing your trip! I'm not familiar with the park or the area, but I can't seem to find on Google Maps logistically how you parked a car on both ends of this hike. Where exactly did you park a car on both ends? How long is it to drive between both ends? Thanks!

@@ScottKreis one car was parked in Chelan (Lake side) and the other was at the Eldorado Peak trailhead. It`s almost 4 hours driving.
