Thank you so much for the compliment! So when it comes to ride handling and capability of the machine I would say 100% to upgrade to one of the newer machines. They have elongated the wheelbase so the new machines are more stable and you have ride control giving you a much more comfortable ride overall. The cab will be more comfortable and will come with all the creature comforts that the newer machines offer. That being said, it's hard to beat the old mechanical machines when it comes to reliability. All of the new machines (including any of Case's competitors) have emissions systems, engine control units, wiring harnesses etc that are prone to issues. I think if you were to compare any of the pre-emissions machines to one of the newer machines and do an honest hour to hour "uptime" comparison, the old units would win handily. Now, if you want to compare production during those hours I think the new machines would win. The power you get from one of the new machines is on a different level than the old 450 series. They also have increased lift capacities for same sized machines. One thing that is nice about Case's product offering is the fact you can still get skids with full mechanical H Pattern controls which removes some of the problematic parts from the system. Doors are one of those things that are rarely done right. When the door is done right the boom arms block the view....or the bucket edge blocks the view of your corners. It's always something!😅

I actually talked to one of the engineers about that. The problem is that they would've had to redesign the entire cab of the machine to accommodate a roll up door. The only way it would've fit is if they added height to the cab which they were unwilling to do because this machine will fit under a standard garage door. Any extra height would stop these machines from being used by concrete guys prepping garage floors in new home construction. And that is the end of my short story on why Case will most likely never have the roll up door!

Does it let you engage the parking brake when the machine is actively moving?

I'd have to sit in the cab and play with the radio. If using Bluetooth you have to pair your device first before it will show up as an input source. If you're using your cord then you will hit the input button until you get to "line in."

These ride about the same as any other CTL on the dirt. I would imagine it would feel pretty rough running on smooth concrete with the Z pattern tracks. Honestly I don't think there's a noticeable difference in ride quality on the Case machines compared to other brands once you get in the dirt.

@@DieselandIron thanks for the info. I had a Takeuchi and John Deere demo on one of my sites but case couldn’t get me one because of the lack of inventory right now. That was the only thing I noticed different, but my site is all dirt.

@@sunsethomes273 John Deere puts out a good machine. I would steer clear of the Tak for now. As much as I love their machines they are having some pretty bad issues with their after treatment systems. It's a shame because they put out great CTLs

In the Case Alpha and B series machines there is a switch at the top of the left column with a red unlock button. While holding the red unlock down (keep it depressed) curl your bucket all the way in and hold it over relief. If you don't have an attachment hooked up you can also run the auxiliary hydraulics so they go over relief. That will cause the bucket pins to raise into the unlock position. Now you can let go of the unlock button and curl out of the bucket.

It's really not that bad. A lot of that has to do with the fish eye lens making it look worse than it is. You have a fairly unobstructed View

As in you lost your code for the machine?

Yes

You can get ahold of the dealership you bought the machine from and after proving the machine is yours they have a universal unlock code they can input to unlock the machine.

If you are just looking to program in a new code you can do that through the machines menu system. I'm assuming you are referring to an alpha series skid. The menu system on those machines is a little tricky to get into.

Hold the unlock button down and curl your bucket until the hydraulics go over relief. You should see the locking pins come up. Release your handle so the hydraulics stop, then release the unlock button. If you release the button first while the hydraulics are going over relief you will force the pins back down so you have to let off the hydraulics first.

This could be because you are in a different country. The manufactures sell different models depending on the country you are in. It's silly but that would explain the difference in features.
