We have a 1950 model - engine was rebuilt many years ago - carbie is so easy to flood in these things...ours we now run on Jet fuel as Power Kerosene no longer available, but biggest problem we have is cannot leave petrol in the carbie because it is so crappy these days turns into sludge and cost us a full carburettor overhaul last year. Great old machine, still do some farm work with her, but Orange colour def!! Well done on getting her running again!!!!

What an awesome repair, overhaul, whatever you call it😁👌, sounds smooth and pretty cool😎, for i to have a 1951 LA Case too, it has like a 3 ton blade in front of it about 7' wide x bout 3' high, it does a great work especially in the winter, with all our snow we get and boy does it have power, its got a great clutch no sign of slippage, if blade is to low them rear tires will start digging WITHOUT any hesitation at all!! Even on dry grounds, unfortunately it runs on (lpg/propane) and i no longer can get/ have any propane put in my tractor anymore, 🤯😵😱, 😭😭😭😭

Glad you like it. Yeah they are hard to fill. We have a 900 case that runs on lp. Not as easy to fill as a gas can.

I vote orange. My dad and I are getting his 1950 Case LA running right now. It's been setting for about 25 years.

Preheat the cast manifold before welding.

We used to have two of these tractors. The ones we had were entirely orange, older I suppose. We used them until they were replaced with a Case Comfort King 930. I was very young at the time but I think the cost of gasoline had a lot to do with the change. I liked the 930 but it had probably the worst brakes I ever saw on a tractor. The 930 is long since gone, traded for a 1070 which is gone also replaced by a 2090 that I am still using. I am looking at picking up one of those Case 600 that has been in the trees for maybe 50 years or so. Engine is stuck of course but it looks to be mostly intact.

Yeah the LA was a thirsty one. 930 brakes are not great even when properly adjusted. 600s are really cool. They only built like 1600 of them so they are pretty rare.

@@farmingwithjunk1848 Yeah...I see that on TractorData that not many 600s were sold. Took some time for me to identify what it was that I was looking at there. The emblem on the front of the tractor was the clue I needed. Only thing that seems to be missing is the hood. Probably lying around there somewhere.

@@northdakotaham1752 best of luck to you. I'd like to add one to my collection but not many wheatland tractors made it to Pennsylvania let alone a 600. I imagine you're in the Midwest?

@@farmingwithjunk1848 North Dakota. I don't think the 600 is very common here either as this one took me some time to identify having never seen one before.

Flambeau red is the color all LA's were originally painted just get a new paint scheme later. I have a Flambeau painted 1937 CC because the original owner Who I bought it from loved the new color when it came out.
