Beautiful Soddy, I hope to find one this week when my son visits, I need a Amber Bone to match my Canoe. I hope I can find one as dark as yours, pictures I sent you of the last one were a little disappointing because of how light the bone was. It’s a preference, I just prefer darker patterns. Congratulations on your Case, great video.👍🇨🇦

Thanks Brother. Both of the two BP had were dark. Covers looks pretty much the same. They had several models with the same type of covers, and one they called yellow jigged bone, but it looked very red to me. Almost grabbed it. Thanks and have a great day!

Cool sodbusters. I’ve always wondered about those Chinese made brownings before. I have a few American made brownings , made by Queen in the 70’s , and they’re as good as you’d expect from Queen. I also have a Japanese browning lockback which is nice too. Sodbuster jrs are such a great little simple edc pocket dropper. If you ever get the chance, you should check out the imperial sodbuster jrs in black and in yellow. They’re like $10-$15, and I gotta say, I’m impressed with their walk n talk. Yeah the 7cr steel isn’t that great, I think it’s one of the better Chinese made sodbusters for the price. I like case and all, but I find the great ones from the 90s and before, are just too collectible and there fir expensive. Case definitely came up with the sodbuster design, and now that pattern name is like a generic term for them. Their fit and finish has gone down hill, yet the price has gone up. So I tend to only buy them when I find ppl who are selling them that don’t know what they’re worth. Thanks again for sharing, you’ll def like carrying a sodbuster, they’re a really cool knife.

I think the Chinese Browning, so far, holds its own. I've had no issues with it. I've carried the Case all week. I do like it. Great all around knife. Price is a tough sell for me, when I can get what seems equivalent at a much cheaper cost. When considering fit and finish, of recently made Case knives, against the cost I'm not comfortable buying what i can't inspect first. Would love to find a Case that is a few decades old. We don't seem to have the second hand market up here in the north. I see what can be found in yard sales and pawn shops in the US and I am envious. Here, its old baby cloths and CDs. lol A knife is a rare find. I still keep hunting though. Hal the fun. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on the video, and i appreciate your input. Have a great day!

That’s 75 dollars cheaper than Canadian Tire, I hope our BP has one for that price.👍🇨🇦

Damn. CT is trying to rake it in. Blades Canada listed it for about $75, but are sold out on all of their soddies.

Congrats on your first Case, it took me a good bit to venture into the Case line but I’m glad I did. If a guy is going to collect them they hold and increase in value. I like them. Your Browning is very nice to though.

7CR ... Is in the 400 series of Steels. I like Mine, bought it at CDN Tire, the Fit and finish was great on mine. It is sad to see a lower end Soddy is better than a 90 Dollar Case Soddy.

Heya. Thank you for that information. I agree. I used to here so much good about Case. Now, not so much. And I can't say the company hasn't earned that. It's still a good knife. It's just not a $90 knife. I want to support local but, local has to support back with a product worth the cost and loyalty. Thanks for having a look. Cheers.

Great comparison and a sweet first Case! I believe all the Bucks and Old Timers at Bass Pro are Chinese made but still good knives.

The last 3 Case knives I bought all had problems which quality control should have caught. 1 the blades were rubbing, 1 the shield was off in the box when I opened it and one that had a big scratch across one of the blades that looked like it slipped when being sharpened. They now seem like sub $30.00 knives.

I've only handled the two. They're much harder to come by up here. But that, and all I am seeing in reviews these days, has me reluctant to order want that I can't hold in my hand first. Also, much of what I saw and heard from those who went to the recent Blade Show have me concerned as a consumer. I'm sure when you get one that is good, it's really good. Just not seeing a lot of that in the community these days. I don't know if things slid when Zippo bought them out or what. It's a damn shame, whatever the reason. I love to support local. Thanks for your input. Have a great day.

Hahaha! I could definitely be in trouble. Fortunately, they are hard to come by up here. Sold out in all the on-line shops and Bass Pro was the only place I've found one in store. And that was just the tow jigged bone. So, unless i start ordering from the US, I'll be safe for a bit. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.

@@Pocket_EDC well, listen, don’t buy any more from Bass Pro (I live in Springfield, Mo. the home of Bass Pro btw) #1: they don’t have a good selection #2 they’re overpriced. If you want something from the states and the seller doesn’t ship to Canada, give me a holler, and I’ll help you out. God bless
