In this exciting video, join me as I take on the challenge of restoring three rare vintage Case XX knives! I had the pleasure of cleaning three magnificent pieces: a 1971 Razor Barlow, a 1979 Bone Handle Stockman, and a 2005 Bone handle Case Special Edition with two stunning handle colors.
Each of these knives holds a special significance to me as they were gifted to me by my beloved Brother. I couldn't have been more thrilled to give them the care and attention they deserved.
Throughout this restoration journey, I carefully documented the before and after of each knife, showcasing the incredible transformation that took place. Witness the revival of these magnificent blades as they regain their former glory through meticulous cleaning techniques.
Not only will you get to see the remarkable results, but I'll also share the process and tools I used to bring these Case XX treasures back to life. From removing years of grime and stains to polishing their blades and handles, I left no stone unturned in this restoration endeavor.
If you're an avid knife enthusiast, a collector, or simply appreciate the artistry of antique blades, this video is a must-watch. Join me as we delve into the world of vintage Case XX knives and witness the magic of restoration unfold.

Thats cool. I went to a garage sale today and was going threw a old metal carry toolbox full of tools and found a case congress in there under some tools the model # 6269 red bone handle and got it for $1. I was not sure what model it was till i came home and wiped the dirty blade off and looked up the model # on the tang. Rare and cool find especially a case knife.

I see your hands get pretty torn up and cracked. Masonry has done the same to my hands. Lookup liquid glove, its in a blue bottle. Not only does it protect your hands but it increases the speed they heal. Just use it like lotion. GREAT STUFF!!!

Just one criticism: the small blade one the large 1979 stockman you called a clip blade, but that blade pattern is actually called a spey blade because it was used by farmers and ranchers to castrate or spay (spey) livestock. I have also recently learned that the razor blade knives became popular after the Civil War because they could be opened one handed by the many veterans who had lost an arm in the fighting. Apparently, these style knives could be opened one handed by the user snagging the head of the blade against their britches and rocking them open. I have recently found your channel and like your knife content as I am also addicted to pocket knives. 👍

A somewhat ghastly and odd comment to discuss I know there is farm life but I doubt many guys carrying stock knives today are castration cattle with them. Sometimes guys like to sharpen pencils with "spey" blades cuz they are thin and sharp, while they use the bigger heavier blades for whittling or scraping

Very nice old knives from Case. The one with the blue and green scales and the printing on the blade looks like some kind of commemorative piece. It must mean something. Not sure if you’ve looked that one up but it would be interesting to know why they did that. Great knives and cleaning them up wasn’t much of a chore on these but always fun anyway.

Sounds like the pins are loose. It depends on what camp knife it is. What's the company that made the knife?

The pins are under the bolsters. The bolsters and the handles(scales) are connected. You might damage the bolters if you do that. The pins on each end of the knife have heads the protrude out so that the handles and bolster can slide onto. You can take the bolsters off without taking the handles off, but you may never be able to get them on again without glueing them. Those pins are hard to remake. I've done some of them. @@jeff6989
