I don’t mind a post Modern designer. However I’d be worried if a post modern movement engineer was in charge.

I think this is fun and playful but still in keeping with the brand's broader aesthetic. Unlike the Rolex bubble and emoji models. Well done FC

Agreed! To me this is very tastefully playful.

Hi Tim: IMHO, this watch genuinely represents the iconoclastic transversality of cognitive variants in current century. What a challenge to the formal framework of structured thinking! It is the cry of a few free souls to those of us who are still asleep: Wake up, wake up before Götterdammerung comes!😳 Regards from Chile!

In 50 to 100 years time, this will become a collector’s item and I predict its value will sky rocket. Why? Because it is so different from your average Timepiece from Rolex, Patek or even Timex.

I want to hate it, but I don't.....is it silly? Yes. Is it ridiculous? Yes. But somewhere inside my soul, I kind of like it.

I love it - I’ve got one reserved. I love traditional but there is always room for different. I think this is so original without being silly. Just going against the rule book of boring perfection.

That blobby moon would drive me absolutely insane. It’s the Comic Sans of watches. Artist sounds like a petulant child.

Absolutely love the haphazard layout of the indices on this watch. They pair perfectly with the handwritten script. The size is much too large, however, for this style of watch. 38mm would be much better.

the French can't help but taking a dig at cricket 😅. judging by his sleeveless sweater though, i think he might know a thing or two😉. the watch is a bit too modern if you ask me, but then i was not available so...😂

I love the look but I think FC are asking too much for a playful design. I think this kind of idea goes best when it's affordable. Studio Underd0g, and even more cheaply Mr Jones Watches come to mind. Looking at his outfit I must ask, Batsman, Bowler, or All Rounder??

I would rather FC start making pieces under 40mm than they do something like his

These things surely are made for the marketing attention one can generate with it, for the chuckle of a few, and the collection of precious few. Having said that, some of the Seconde/Seconde watches more closely approximate where a design could have gone rather than vandalisation such as in this case. I really enjoyed the Maen Manhattan Seconde/Seconde, for example or the Lang, or like with Atelier Wen which is like a repurposing. There is always something tongue in cheek, the cartoonesque aspects I appreciate less aesthetically speaking, but especially in the case of Maen the tweak of the second hand was also an enhancement of the original, as was the colour.

Watch design subtracting function = (annoying) jewellery…in my humble opinion 😉 Thanks for sharing Tim.

Ich muss sagen, ich liebe das Design. Irgendwie verspielt und wild, wenn ich das Geld übrig hätte, ich würde die goldene kaufen. Hat ein klein wenig den Vibe von Happy Socks zu einem Anzug.

I thought that a second hand that didn't hit the indices was bad enough, but this might leave me needing therapy.

No,no,no, just wrong! Perhaps he will persuade his friends to buy the gold tone one and It will be a sell out.

To me this looks like a QC problem that became a design choice ... "Hey we have a problem all the markers fell off of the dial" ... "I dunno I like it- it's different" ... "I KNOW! we'll call it a bold design choice instead of a QC issue" ... "then let's take it over the top with the font and a paragraph on the display caseback so you can't actually see the movement - I'm sure if we hype it up enough some hipster will buy it to be 'avant garde' ".

I deeply sense that as a stale, pale, male, colonialist and patriarchal elitist whose unjust oppression of the struggling postmodern artist’s tour de force you have failed to truly appreciate the intrinsically metaphysical nuances that are subtly represented in such a limited edition masterpiece. 😉

A perfectly useless Time Machine in 42mm ….. It needs a Seconds Hand with a tiny Middle🖕as the Counterweight . Now that would be Delightfully Zany . This and the Hamilton Bright Dune would make a great 2 Watch collection 😮

Nothing does it for me. Too big, weird indices layout, and an advertising plug. I agree, FC has gone a little too far with this watch. ☹️
