I really like that. By definition it's hard to combine Vintage style with originality but they seem to have done it. Very clever.

Very very nice. That said, the problem is not the price, but rather the price in relation to other more well known brands that sell for the same quality. When I see $2500, I instantly think of 2 or 3 Nomos I’d rather have. The Londsdale at $1500 is a no brainer and I would grab it immediately. Not saying it’s not worth the price, just not the comparative price.

Thanks for the nice review Tim. My wife and family allow me to indulge in a nice cigar only during Christmas and Father's day as long as I have it outside on the porch and all the windows are closed. So there it's not addictive.

I learned of Cuervo Y Sobrinos about two years ago and periodically check out their offerings. There have been some very striking dials and cases during that time. That humidor that acts as the watch box is most impressive. I do like the simplicity of the Lonsdale and the dial colors it comes in.

Hi Tim, C.Y.S watches have always fascinated me ! The"Salvador Dali " of the watch world! Much prefer their dual signed vintage models partnered with a lot of watch brands( Longines, Omega ,Doxa etc.) but with heavy CYS DNA & influences. Particularly the novelty ones made as promotional gifts for cigar coys,Coca Cola& the many casinos/ that existed before Castro.A gold luxe model from the 50s would require a good night on the baccarat tables at the Habana Riviera casino

I really like this watch just wish it was a tad smaller for my wrist. Anyways I quit smoking cigars when I quit smoking but I do miss a nice Fuente Short Story or Davidoff No. 2. A lot.

Yes! I'm all for it. Very much enjoy seeing a classy, wearable, yet distinct release by Cuervo y Sobrinos. I like it all the more because to date it's the only watch brand I know of with Latin American roots/claims. Do enlighten me if I'm wrong in that impression. I like the fact that they sail a course all their own, seemingly unperturbed by the whims of the watch world. However, I do regret their pricing. It's so difficult to justify pricing like that if it isn't undisputably some sort of unique level of craft or finishing you're offering, or special/precious materials. If not, one would rightly expect some rather more ambitious movement claims. The difficulty is, there is none of that mentioned and then we're in the vague territory of watches that are highly ambitiously priced but struggle to justify that except for those who fall head over heels with a particular watch design. Even exclusivity isn't enough of a justification, because exceptional watches at strictly limited runs can be found with the same or upgraded movements for about half the price. Would I love to have one? Absolutely, or so I think, pending reviews and more visuals perhaps. Especially the brown tainted oscuro awoke something in me. I'm not into cigars exactly, but appreciate the unsmoked aroma of cigars in cedarwood boxes (my dad did occasionally indulge). Mainly, I just like that Cuban heritage in the watch world. Not sure if it has any bearing in the watches today, I hope so.

Love this watch Tim. It would be worth getting just for that box! Love the smell of a good cigar or pipe tobacco. I only have a cigar every birthday now as the ones I like are so expensive and as I'm now retired, it's a special treat.

Saw pictures of watches from this brand here and there and really thought these are fashion watches...the steep price really surprised me.

Hi Tim, X cigarette smoker and I am defiantly not triggered by Cigars. A premium hand crafted cigar VS Cigarettes are much like watches. A cigarette can be compared to a cheap quartz watch while a hand crafted Cuban Trinidad is like a fine Patek. Also, if you are looking for a great cigar small cigar to smoke might I suggest the Trinidad or Cohiba Shorts, very flavorful and not too pricey.

Hi Tim. Did you manage to get a sample for review? When I purchased mine I found the case size on the literature misleading, as the total length is nearer to 50mm (44mm refers to "pin-to-pin" - wonder why C y S state it this way...?) I had even set the return process in motion because of the size, and also there weren't enough holes in the strap to fit my 16.5cm wrist. That is, until I borrowed a strap from another of my watches, and thought "Hang on, this could still work!" Indeed, it does, and I'm pleased to add that I cancelled the return.

I have tried all of them; Cigarettes, Cigars, Tobacco Pipes, Electronic Cigarettes. For me, cigarettes are the only one that make addiction. And quitting them has been really difficult. I have found them the strongest of all of them, and the most enjoyable of all of them too. But unfortunately, they are the unhealthiest of all of them as well. If cigarettes were not such unhealthy, they would be my choice for sure. But unfortunately, that's not the case. As you inhale them, they have a very strong effect, and on the other hand, unlike the other ones, they place significant health effects on your lungs and breathing system. For me also, it is not doable to both smoke cigarettes and exercise. I must choose one of those 2 lifestyles. It is because cigarettes make you out of breath when running (or doing other cardio). But with cigars and tobacco pipes I find no such a conflict with exercising. With cigars and pipes, it is possible for me to switch their consumption on and off whenever I want (I mean I don't get addicted to them in real meaning of the word). That's what I like about them. Also, as you don't inhale them, they do not make you out of breath. So, even when using them, I do not feel that I need to quit exercising (so, I can continue both of the plans at the same time). However, as I said, in regards of the enjoyment, they are by no means close to cigarettes for me. And electronic cigarettes are the shi**iest of all. It's like consuming some chemicals. I didn't like them at all. So, my preferred plan is smoking cigars every now and then (without being addicted to them). I prefer them over pipes. But pipe is much more economical (using cigars regularly affects your bank in the place that I live. I mean they are quite expensive here). And I keep on my exercises alongside this, as well.

This is a handsome watch certainly, and I can see wearing it. Unfortunately I feel $2,500 is far too high for a dress watch with no special complications or wild water resistance running on a Sellita movement.

2.500 euro is lot of money for a watch from an unknown brand. There are a lot of other brands I rather spend 2 and a half grand on.

This will be one to look for with aftermarket or gray market dealers. These watches do not hold their value. That’s a lot of money for a sellita movement.

Do you think the 40mm diameter is measured at the widest point? or measured at the narrow notch? at the bezel? a little worried it could be quite large...
