During my deployment to Afghanistan I witnessed 6 bronze stars awarded to soldiers who never went outside our FOB and never seen a day in combat.! Todays Military is not the same as it used to be..! Five % maybe of US military members see any combat during a deployment.. Officers sitting in a air conditioned room pushing paperwork don’t deserve a bronze star.! Stop watching all of these movies because they don’t tell the truth .! Officers today rarely go outside and see combat unless they’re pilots or special forces or infantry.!!

mmmmm...not in the Navy and Marine Corps, no. The Army...kind of an admin trophy for doing just about anything. The green medal with the orange stripes is the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal. About the lowest personal medal you can get that's just above Certificate of Commendation, Meritorious Mast, or Letter of Appreciation. Given out to highlight above and beyond service, but can still be given to folks for just doing their job well. The Army treats the Bronze Star like that. They hand them out all over. Having reviewed and routed several hundred from the awards section in a joint unit, I saw some for people pretty much just showing up to work. BUT getting one on the Marine Corps side...pain in the A, and usually come with a combat V device. Seeing Ron got one in the NAVY!? Nice.

@@Drake-b6i no kidding. Today's awards sections are the C.O.'s personal lobbying mechanism to add points to who they want promoted and they downgrade other's awards to hold them back. Seen it. It's BS. Awards criteria are in black and white and it's up to the admin sections and the individual servicemember to fight for it. I saw a guy that revamped and taught a software system to an entire base of different unit system admins over the course of a year get tossed a NAM for his efforts and I helped him fight for a Navy Commendation Medal as it specifically states "for the betterment of adjacent and higher echelon units."

They have such a lovely family. I admire Ron and Casey and believe they would make a fantastic Presidential family; yet, I do not believe I can vote for him over Trump because I already know what I will get from Trump's policies. We know how difficult it is to make changes in the first term, and we normally begin to reap the advantages after 3-4 years, so waiting another 3-4 years for Ron to acclimatize to the sleaze balls of Washington is simply too long. Trump, on the other hand, already knows how the swamp works, and I'm sure he has a strong game plan in place and knows what actions to take and avoid when he returns to office. Desantis, without a doubt, should be our President in 2028 so that he may assume charge of the country in good standing and focus on implementing long-term initiatives. God bless them and the USA
