Huge thanks to elitefleetautomotive.net/ for helping out and picking up the tab on this one so that the customer has no additional costs added onto the already big expense of losing his truck! If you're in the Central Oregon area and need you vehicle serviced or repaired, check out Elite Fleet Automotive for the most honest and fair priced service you'll find anywhere! I have been taking my vehicles to Nate since long before I had a KZfaq channel and I will let them sit in my driveway and wait for an opening at Elite Fleet before I take them anywhere else.
My wife and daughter mean everything to me and the vehicle they take to school and work every day gets all of it service done at Elite Fleet and the guys there have been told by me that my wife's vehicle has a blank check for whatever it needs to have done to keep it a safe and reliable vehicle. They have never once taken advantage of that with unnecessary repair or maintenance, and they have also never once let that vehicle get into a state where it's broken down and left my girls stranded. I couldn't ask for any better than that!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

@@heltratt6363 The driver told Casey that he just slid off the side and that the truck was completely fine to drive, which is why he made sure Casey got the keys before he went up there. How do you not realize that not only did you obviously roll your truck, but you completely wrecked it in the process unless you are pissed drunk? Are you really that naive?
@silentepsilon888
@silentepsilon888 11 күн бұрын
it is definitely a good thing that you are taping this recovery from arrival to completion, because by giving you the keys to drive this truck out, the customer appears to be thinking that his truck is still in fairly good condition and imagine his reaction and surprise when he realizes that what you are bringing him back is nowhere near in the condition he thinks it was in when he left it.
@nunyabidness674
@nunyabidness674 6 күн бұрын
After the missing tea bottle, I was starting to think the same thing. Either dude dumped the truck at night and didn't know the actual condition, or the truck itself rolled over on its own. It's possible the ground under it let go, and last dude saw of it, it was up next to the road. Another red flag was the spare tire. Not everyone bolts down the bed box, but the spare lives under the bed on those. The spare and the bed box were side by side when they got there.

That is interesting. I was on vacation out in that area and was driving down a washboard road like that through one of those burned areas. Nice forest, but you would be hard pressed to hike off of the road because of the brush. My only real complaint though is people leaving trash around. We found an empty tea bottle just left on the side of the road. Of course we did the responsible thing and stopped to pick it up. Kind of glad we did as it got us slowed down. As bad as the washboard was, had we not slowed down, we might have bounced off the road into the brush.

I can't help but think when watching videos like this one, that people doing recovery like yourself are an incredible source of information for government agencies regarding dangerous road design/travel conditions. Do they ever use feedback like yours to put in safety measures or specialized warning signs? "Slow down! Dangerous turn ahead!" seems like it would be a useful notification that could possibly save lives in the future on this particular road.

@@aliassmithandjones9453 I was about to reply that a conscientious citizen should go and put a warning up themselves (perhaps at the lake where Casey said everyone was traveling from?), but then I realized what would likely happen next. Some government agency would learn about it and send ten people up the mountain for a day to take the "unauthorized" sign down, and in the end they would waste more money than if they'd just put a sign up themselves in the first place like they should.

It needs a bigger fuel tank far more then it needs 40 more hp. . I speak from experience. That 15 gal tank sucks big time. They made a smaller frunt tank for short beds, I've wondered if it would fit in there and clear the PTO setup. Or whatever else is added down there. . A 2nd 15 gallon tank would do absolute wonders for its range.

@@BGWenterprises True more capacity means more distance, but why not burn that fuel more efficiently? The Banks website offers a sidewinder turbo kit for that 7.3 that will keep it powering up over those mountain passes he gets to deal with AND up to 28% more fuel economy (from the Banks website). I say do both an add on tank and the turbo.

You’re the epitome of good business. Gone are the times where helping out for goodness sakes it’s nice to see it’s not lost on you. I know there are operating costs but to see how you use your sponsorships and friends I love it

The driver must have been under the influence of something to think you could drive it after you pulled the truck out. Good video .

28 years ago I was doing a heavy recovery which I notified department of Hiways! They sent out flaggers because I was using the far ditch to help anchor my truck and I had my lines going across the road and down to the semi trailer! Some idiot decided that he wasn't going to stop almost wiped out the flag girl came ripping around the corner and hit my lines which were tight! Luckily I had run them low they cut through the front and pushed the motor & transmission back!

In an effort to help you with the KZfaq algorithm, the western star with the Zack lift was a good choice to pull the truck up from the crash site, but it is a bit of an overkill to tow with
