We're back out in the woods with @troysOffroadRecovery to clean another abandoned camper out of the woods for PLSBend! This trailer has been up in the forest for many years, and is nowhere near road worthy. So we used Troy's wrecker to get up into the woods and pull it out of its spot, then drag it down the trail to a spot where I could get my rollback. We then loaded it on my truck to haul down the road to our storage pit where all the campers we remove will stay while they go through the lean process so that they can be scrapped.
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

You ll are doing wonderful work! I agree with Casey, so sad to see kid's things among these abandoned homeless camps. I recall a news story near my city a few years back. Families unable to afford any housing. Living in car and tents in the desert on BLM land. Parents had low wage jobs, little kids went to school, but home was a camp on public land. And it wasn't just one example. There's something screwed up in our country when even people willing to work hard and do their best for their families can't afford even the cheapest apartment rent. It's nutz.

I like your technique/routine of when you unhook or finish using a piece of equipment or tool you immediately put it back where it belongs instead of just laying it down till you finish the job. That way nothing gets lost of left behind. Smart.

In the past few months I've had two injections and a surgery that could have had the possible side effect of incontinence and or loss of bowel function. But every time I read that line I would stop and say to myself Casey has to live the rest of his life with an ostomy bag so you can live with whatever happens. Thankfully I'm doing better with no side effects. I still have a long road ahead of me but I'll make it through. Thank you for being a role model and inspiration. God bless.

Thanks for your concern for the little ones. I once had to report a break in into my little cabin in the woods (by Dutch standards ;-) The police officer asked about people living around it, perhaps illegally, unregistered, and he asked specifically if children could be involved (you know, toys lying about, crying, laughter): "bc if so, then I go and visit". I loved him for it.

Thank y'all for doing this! I've worked out in the woods of Oregon most of my career and have seen many scenarios along this line. I understand how someone can end up in this situation and I try not to judge, but that's really hard when there are kids involved. Some of the situations I've seen are under no way livable with children. I remember there being one family where the boyfriend/father took his family, with 3 kids ages 1-6, into the woods, many miles from anywhere and just tent camped because he had an arrest warrant. They were found a couple weeks later, walking down a dirt road with literally nothing. The car was out of gas and really wasn't drivable. They had no water. No food. The 1 year old had no diapers. So glad someone came along and that the guy didn't choose to make things difficult.
