I will never forget that day of August 2008 when Van approached my friend Nat and I at a Starbucks on Broadway and invited us to your studio to show us an episode of The Neistat Brothers months before airing on HBO. We then had a fun studio tour, I took your portraits for my ELSFIES series and you took a Polaroid picture of us and put it on the wall. I never talked to Van ever again but stayed in touch with you, Casey. Please send my regards to Van. Thank you for this beautiful tribute video to your brother. *The thing that makes Casey's videos different is all of his saved history - all of his archived footage. It still amazes me how all these years later he can tell a story with real, actual footage from the past. The effort to record, catalogue and maintain decades worth of media and be able to pull it up on a whim is so extremely underrated.*

Watching the old videos it really makes you realise how much Casey admired his brother. His video style very closely mirrors the style Van used. It's so cute and wholesome to think Casey is the younger brother using is older brother as inspiration

I have been waiting for Van to start a regular creative output. I've always been curious of what the other side of the HBO boys would produce. Since a month ago, his channel has been amazing. Everything you said is so spot on. He's the best youtuber. Not by any measure that most people would use. But by his creativity. It's beautiful.

I recently found Van's channel serendipitously when looking for the book "The Fourth Turning." His review came up. I watched it and was mesmerized from the beginning. There's something compelling about his style and message. "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" immediately came to my mind, for some reason, though I have neither thought nor heard of it in decades.

I've been loving your brother's content on his new channel! I hope Van achieves his goal and gets that truck one day.

Ive been following you since the Neistat Brothers days and I watched a great deal of the vlog from what I saw Van never appeared even though Dean showed up quite a bit. I always assumed there was some falling out and have to say it's nice to see you together in a video again after all these years, hope you finally make that second season.

After watching this I have started going through Vans whole back catalogue. What can I say apart from .... You are right, well, not exactly. It is the best you tube channel (so far). Van is a master , a master story teller a master communicator , but above all he is a master adventurer, an adventurer of the spirit. His travels havnt just entertained, excited and moved me , they have taught me , healed me , and inspired my own spirit. I thank you both 💞

Damn dude... you should rename this to your best video ever. Absolutely blown away. My older brother was so creative growing up, he was making simple robots in the late '80s and somehow he lost his way. He inspired me to get into film and video creation as well. I have had nowhere near your success but I still find a kinship with you, we grew up in a trailer park in Mobile, AL and you flooded me with memories of us younger brothers that looked up to our older brothers who inspired us so much. I shared this with him. Thanks again dude!

I feel the same way about my brother Bobby who took me in after our folks went after one another. He made me the man I am. Unfortunately he died 6 years ago from an overdose. I'd go into all the specifics, but its the same story across the country. Brilliant loving human gets hurt, goes to doctor. Gets heavy narcotics applied in excess, then immediately taken away.
