@@JapanForestExplorer I work with dogs and common sense should always be applied. No one knows their dog better than their owner and that is why you ALWAYS ask and if the dog can be aggressive, the owner will say no. Plus you are also capable of reading the dog's body language. In my experience, most animal lovers understand and are proud that others want to love on their babies.

We have a beautiful scottish deerhound, whenever we went on walks we heard the "That's not a dog that's a horse". It was quite amusing to hear almost everyone we came across say it however hes getting old now, approaching 10 years old. he doesnt walk much anymore and spends most of his time lay on the grass outside. he would never hurt a fly even when little dogs bark and get aggressive. Cash is such a beautiful Dane. We had a fawn Bitch called Tara (Kennel club name was Tara Sarsac Robinson) and she was the most loving dog. That was in the mid-late 60s in the UK and I was only 7 years old when we got her. I picked her from a litter as she was the smallest and saddest looking one being left at the back and it was, even at just 7, the best decision of my life. We lost her when I was 18 and she was 11 years old which was a good innings for a Dane. Because of her Love for Tara a family friend, Penny, gave a loving home to 5 rescue danes over the next couple of decades. On the day that we had Tara put down as she was suffering with cancer, Sasha, Penny's first rescue dane and another Fawn, who was Taras shadow and soul mate, escaped from her garden by leaping over the fence, which she had never ever done before. When we came home from the vets in tears we found Sasha sitting by our back door in an equally distressed state. Without a shadow of a doubt she had sensed something was wrong. Like when they were together in our lounge, I am sure they are laying side by side by a roaring heavenly log fire somewhere, legs spayed out snoring in blissful contentment.

5 years, wow he looks younger. But even bigger wow for the previous one turning 10. Yeah I could see he looked a bit anxious/stressed and definitely Gorgeous. My dogs are Papillons 15 & 12 years.

I would love to see a really cool, 'wow' picture would be one with him standing upright with his front paws on the people's shoulders to show how tall he is.
