My female Dane lived to be 12 years old. My male Dane lived to be 10. The only downside to owning a Dane is their short life spans.

the same energy as my cat. I live in a doctors house with lots of people walking in and out. And my cat would just chill downstairs getting pet and loved by literally everyone. always lightens up the mood.

What a big sweetheart

Back in 1985 while driving by a house backyard full of show danes I found old Duke. He was locked in a cage that wasn't big enough & laying on a bare concrete floor. He was about 8 - 9 yrs old, weak, thin (boney) & could barely walk. The owners said he was sick & they were going to put him down... I took him. Vet said even considering his condition I got him in, he still had a strong heart, good joints & not sick at all. So I fed him well & got his weight up, he was goofy happy and walking again... & a face slobberer lol! He was so lovable he preferred to sleep in a big chicken house with chickens laying on his back. He'd roar his head off at the patio sliding door if it was warm outside so he could be with the chickens. He got what he wanted loll! He lived another 3 yrs & I still miss him since 1988.

not once did he bark, squeel or want to chase any other dogs, what a good boy, and the owner seems to love the attention the dog gets. patient enough to repeat the age name and type of dog. i believe this dog's attitude def reflects the owner.
