By mistake I bought wrong size watch strap for one of my watches and I decided that with some modifications it will nicely fit my Casio.

I'm glad this video is still up. I just did this with a 20mm black leather band and it looks great. 22mm looks better, but it's such a minor difference I don't mind. As someone mentioned, thicker leather makes it hard to get the bars back in, but with the right tools it wasn't too bad.

@@asgja12 18mm looks good too, but there is a "step" to it. It's noticeablly narrower than the watch. Cutting a 22mm band this way gives it the same "slope" as the original metal band. It's personal preference.

I think you can burn the cut area of the leather strap, to make that exposed area water proof a bit.

I do the same with my favorite silicon magnetic straps. I like the width of the straps to be the same as the outside width of the lugs so you need to cut a few mm off the ends, it look better that anyway. good choice there.

Emil's Tec DW5600 or GWM5610. I have worn a DW5600 for years. Last year I switched to the GWM5610 because of atomic time keeping.

I've done minimalistic version, by myself. Type:"Update3. Homemade Nato strap. GW-M5610." Whatever looks, works. P.s few months ago I've done another " update" very similar to newest G5000TVA-1. I mean "red accent ", nice thing to realise that designer of casio like the same things. " Bund strap 5610 update2"

I tried this with a cheap leather band, 22mm, cut it down, COULD NOT GET THE APRING BAR TO ENGAGE (tried for 45 minutes). Maybe the material surrounding the spring bar was too thick? Anybody have a specific band that could link that worked?

i'm a little late to this video, but if you remember, did you use the stock spring bars that came with this watch for this mod, or did you use your own standard spring bars? i own an A168WE and it refuses to take standard spring bars, only being able to fit the stock ones.

I always use the stock spring bars and replace when need. If it refuses try to order thinner spring bars they have many different diameters. I have also Flightmaster and it have very thin spring bar.

Hi, I bought it from Aliexpress link you can find in my description. This leather strap is soft and does fit comfortable.

Nice video. That A168 bracelet will fit that seiko 5 nicely. I have the same 2 watches and wear the seiko snk809 with the A168 bracelet sometimes.
