Excellent review, this is a very comfortable watch and very retro stylish. I wanted to own it 30 years ago when I was a young lad, now I'm very happy to have it on my wrist after all these years.

you said +/- 30 seconds per day...it's actually per month. Which if you work it out - it is still 99.99% accurate.

I misspoke, you're correct. +/- 30 per day would be awful for a quartz watch.

The watch is good. I don't wear it often enough though, I have too many watches to rotate through in the collection. I have several of the cheaper Casio watches that I just sort of collect despite only wearing them occasionally. They're fun watches.

Guy, the reason why the A168WA feels bigger on your wrist is because it is a BIGGER watch ! The A158WA is the same dimensions as the F-91W if you compare the two you will easily notice the larger size of the A168 as a watch collector l really don’t care much for your reviews “higher end watches” but your Casio-g shock reviews are charming and interesting your comparison review of the DE-5600 vs DW-9052 is quite a delemma for me as l love them both but being like you,spectacle repentant, l do wish the time digits on the DW-9052 were bigger but the seconds graph lve been told is quite useful to paramedics when taking people’s pulse(just thought l’d pass that on...). I'm so grateful for this video. Was almost bummed out that the bracelet couldn't be adjusted, had a pretty loose fit out of the box. I'm pretty new to watches so still a little clueless on certain mechanisms. You have a new sub :)

Classic watches here that I think are great for kids that might want to have a watch to be like their dad, grandpa, brother or whoever. Especially the A168W since it has the stainless look that will seem similar to nicer watches. Not bad beater watches to own either which have kind of a timeless design. I would easily recommend a quartz watch like this over an analog quartz watch going for $100 or more. Well done review.

I have this metal bracalet a168w and I swimm with it in pool nearly every day for the past 6 months and never had any issues at all..Also I got the gold color one and also never had issues swimming with it..it is definetly a safe watch to swim with if youre not pushing the buttons under the water

Great review! The reason the A168W looks to be of decent size on your wrist whereas the F-91W looks small is because the 91 is all black, and therefore slimming. Meanwhile, the 168 is bright chrome (lighter) so it appears larger, despite the fact that they are basically the same size. Hooray for color theory!

Yeah I like the way the 168 wears a bit better for some reason. Plays tricks with your mind maybe, but whatever works!

I have a large wrist, but I think that watch will look okay. The wide spread of the band makes the case look more substantial. Small looking cases is one of the reasons I've never owned a metal cased digital Casio, but I might give that one a try. I'm a 70s and 80s child, so I'm in to the nostalgia thing.

In my opinion, it is a very nice, unpretentious watch which unfortunately is let down by having a totally unnecessarily ‘busy’ lens, with way too much printing/text.

I'd go rock bottom and go with the A158W... Yes the LED light is not as good as this model's EL backlight.. but it's the more iconic design, with less printed text cluttering the face and its cheaper :P

158 is a useless pos like the F91. You can't read either after dark. If you have more than two brain cells just get the 168 and leave the 158 to the newbs and romantics.

My buckle is loose and I cant fix it. After adjusting it, it takes few minute to adjust itself and end up not fitting my wrist

Is the chrome coating on the watch durable? Does it rub and scratch off after a while and make the watch look nasty?

It doesn’t rub off but like any watch it can get scratched and will pick up damage depending on how careful you are with it.

i have the F-91 AND I like it but I hate the backlight that being said I'm tempted to get the A168 and change the internals

I believe that the only difference is what type of backlight in it and as you essentially pull everything out of the watch to change the battery is should be a simple swap. I forgot they do another watch with the same backlight with the model number A168Wedb-1BEF which is the same as your silver one only the case is gold and the black metal bracelet also it's a negative display. but you would never have something of a stealth watch being all black.

can i change the strap with nato strap or rubber strap? and what the size of this stap? 18mm?

Yep, 18mm. You may have a time getting it to go between the spring bars and the case though, so I'd stick with thinner straps. On my F-91w I literally shaved off plastic with a nail file and knife to get a NATO to slide cleanly through, though that would probably ruin and weaken the chrome coating on this watch.

You could but it wouldn’t look very nice. Also, to buy the strap individually is almost the same cost as an F91w. If you look on the Casio or Amazon websites, you can get a metal effect case with a black rubber strap.

Chuong Nguyen yes I think it's a plastic or resin case with some sort of chrome like coating. The finish isn't bad considering the price point.

i have both ...i prefer the f91w but i decided to replace the a168w strap with a black leather strap and it was freaking awesome ...started to wear it more than all my other awesome watches hahaha.

use any strap of the right size....my seiko 5 strap fit perfectly fine...remove the spring bar from ur casio watch...put it in ur band ...fit the spring bar back in the watch ...and ur done !

One thing I don't like about the metal band watches is how they got hot enough to burn you on a hot summer day. I live in Las Vegas (middle of the desert). It gets hot enough to burn your skin.

Guy,there is a simple and obvious reason the A168WA looks bigger on your wrist- it!’s a BIGGER WATCH the f-91W is about 33mm in diameter and the A168 is about 36mm ,yours truly--the winged griffin,SydneySistralia

Oops! The accuracy is NOT +or- 30 seconds/day as U said. Even a cheap mechanical watch us probably more accurate than that. Maybe 30 seconds/month? Otherwise an ok review. Regards
