Good video. A few of things I’ve found from mine; 11:42 actually you can change DST for the other time zones from the home time mode. Eg. if you go to T2 and hold adjust to set the city code, pressing mode will then take you to the DST on/off option. Whatever change you make will be changed in the World Time mode. Also you can quickly swap T2,3,4 with T1. Eg. if you go to T3 and press adjust and light simultaneously, T3 and T1 will swap places. This also works in World Time mode. Pick any city, press adjust and light simultaneously and it will become T1 in the home time mode. Your WT display will also switch to whatever you had selected for T1. One other hidden feature is a display mode. In HT mode, if you hold the search button for 3 seconds, it will start cycling through the 4 time zones, changing every 2 seconds until you press any button. The last extra thing I know is if you press adjust, mode and search simultaneously while in HT, it will light up every lcd panel at the same time. Pressing search a few more times will show another pattern and then a number which might be the module number. Although it’s in the manual, I found the time swapping thing accidentally while playing with the watch. I tried to figure out what I had done and how to reverse it by pressing all the buttons at the same time and somehow caused the watch to glitch and the screen went dead. Since I lost my receipt I had to fix it myself. I opened up the back and used a safety pin to touch the AC spot to the battery like when you put a new battery in and luckily that worked and then screen came back on but I don’t know why it glitched in the first place.

My 7th year running. Takes all the beatings day in day out and is still running. Has many scratches on that acrylic crystal and the paint on top has faded away, this little thing is an absolute tank!

Such an iconic Casio Piece. Although I'm a Casio F Series type of guy, The AE series is just as God Tier when it comes too it's usefulness, and it's utilities, espically for those of us who travel often, and have family overseas. I've owned one for years now, and it's been a tank, and just flawless, espically with its World Time features, Alarms, Count and Stop. Surprised it was featured on this film, finally had time to click on my youtube recommendations, and this video covers it perfectly, and a great reference.

Wow, I came across this watch review whilst looking at the casino Royal casio which I'm planning on getting, can you belive I got this watch in 2010. In the booklet it said the battery would last 10 years..... Its march 2021 guess what, yep no battery change yet, its been used as a daily and again I've had no strap failure(touch wood). Forget about all those watches that have matching house prices CASIO are the Daddies👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Counting from today, this is my first World Time Casio watch (NAVI blue variety). In the on-line shop where I usually do shopping of watches, they set up the time of the watch just before dispatching (up to the second - very nice touch), but in this case they messed up the time-zone stuff. The time, date of the month and the day of the week were correct, but the time zone was completely incorrect! I am in Europe and they have set it as a time-keeping zone Tokyo 😊, and this thing messed up all the other zones. Thanks to your all-the-time-great reminder to set correctly the time zone, now all is good! Thank you Sir!

I owned one of these for some 6 or 7 years, it was my battle horse for work. It took a beating every day during my days as Pepsi sales rep. I gave it to my brother when his beater died, and soon after he lost it somewhere. I am thinking of getting another one just for the nostalgia factor. Currently I wear a Casio GA-2100 as my daily beater, and a Tissot Gentleman Classic for special occasions.

I wish they made an all black version of this like they do the AE-1200. They have one that they call black, but it's really dark gray with black accents. I have a few of these and I like them a lot. I don't wear them as much as my 1200s or my G-Square, but I still like them. One thing I do like better about them is the more legible date and day. Much easier to see on the 1000.

I had this watch 2 years ago and it was my daily driver watch. Sadly when I got in an accident my watch was completely destroyed . Since then I’m wearing g shocks .will plan to buy another one in future

Nice review on a dependable watch. Good eye on recognizing this same watch from the movie. Also great idea to talk about watches heavily featured, (as you said one of the stars in the movie). I can think of the Casio G-shock Keanu Reeves' character wore in the movie Speed. Of course, Jason Statham's and Sylvester Stallone's Panerai in the Expendables series, etc. I can't recall which watch Colin Farrell's character wore in Phone Booth, another largely single character driven movie? AND CONGRATS ON HITTING YOUR 200TH SUBSCRIPTION!!! That's a nice achievement and milestone! Here's to many more...

That watch is used by the military because it is not too bulky so it can be worn under the tight type of sleeves they use. Otherwise, when crawling you'll collect all the dirt under the apparel.

It's been very useful for me, especially with the timer. However, after a little over one year of consistent use, the screen is failing me. It seems it may have some sort of loose connection since if I flick it, the screen goes back to normal for a while. It's quite sad, since I use it daily, but maybe it's time for an upgrade. Btw, daily use for me includes usually hand washing, wearing it in the shower, and wearing it while I resistance train and run/walk daily.

I was thinking of buying this watch model in olive colour. Can anyone tell me how durable the wrist strap is for this watch? Will it last a long time or does the strap eventually dry out and break like some watch straps I have had on digital watches.

Just a guess: they used the stopwatch function and filmed it go from 0 to 53 hours and then they reversed the video. both explains how they did it and why would it be on STW.

I had 4 different Casio Royales, sold them to get the bracelet version of this one.

My one and only qualm with this watch and other watches in Casio's World Time series is that the alarm always refers to home time. When you are traveling and using the World Time mode and need to set alarms, the alarm refers to the home time meaning you cannot set up alarms with the time referring to the time in the time zone you are currently at. With everyone having a mobile phone, I suppose this is not a major problem; simply set alarms on your phone. It's just a shame to lose that functionality. Other than that, solid watch!

I would like to always see two times zones symultaneously, without needing to press the button, because of my work I always have my hands dirty with oil. So, By any chance you guys know if I press mode, and set the watch in world time mode or gmt mode, will it stay in that screen or it will automatically switch to home screen? I am asking because the Casio A1200 (Casio Royal) stays there without moving automatically to home screen. The one I want to buy is the Casio AE1100
