One of the best demos of music equipment I've seen. This guy is a band by himself...know how to play each instrument. Casio is going up-scale big-time with the new piano tone!

Completely misleading title. It suggests that this is a matchup between Casio's 5000 & 3000. I don't see any demo on the 3000. You can fix this oversight easily on this video's title. I know the 5K is better, but I want to hear it compared to the 3K.

Hey can anyone tell me what material or how the keys are. Is it good to play, do they have grip or is it easy to slip off? Would be cool if the have a little grip

Battery power operation is a BIG benefit for mobile use and the CT-X3000 is attractive. That being said, what does the CT-X3000 lack that the CT-X5000 has? Especially in terms of polyphony, sequencer capability/storage and overall functionality.

Steve Coscia assignable button, expression pedal input, and the speakers of the 5000 is 30watts which is great..

And for only $450 USD, THIS is a rig that will be VERY hard to beat, no matter the price or class!
@stevecoscia6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. That helps to understand the compromise towards battery power. If the polyphony and sequencer capability is the same, then the CT-X3000 is best for those who want mobile functionality via battery power.

Mic in, if you need it. Capacity of storage for created rhithms is 100 (CT-X3000 - 50). Probably, it's not the crucial difference in most cases.

Great point on the mic in. Unlike the X3000's Line input, the Mic input on the X5000 has its own gain control knob, and it can actually be run through the X5000's effects section to apply chorus/reverb/delay etc to the vocal signal, with separate adjustable sends for each effects block.

does the ctx700 have a timpani tone in it?
@lars15885 жыл бұрын
I believe so, since its inferior siblings, the CTK keyboards, all do.

Ct x series have Indian tone and rythm???
@atxchandy6 жыл бұрын
You'd have to check the manual of the model you're interested in to see the full tone list, but even the lowest end CT-X700 has some South Asian tones and rhythms to work with. If you're buying in India, Casio will release localized versions of the CT-X line for Indian musicians with a larger selection of Indian tones and rhythms. These models have an "IN" designation on them to indicate they're localized for India: CT-X870IN/CT-X8000IN/CT-X9000IN.

I wish they spent much more time making the User Interface easy and intuitive. These types of keyboards from Japan require one to constantly refer to the manual. look how many buttons he has to push to do simple operations! Learn a lesson from Nord and make accessing the most common sounds without a menu based procedure.
@HubertEtAlice5 жыл бұрын
Cliff Keller I agree. This is a shame because otherwise the sounds are nice and the styles do really sound fresh as compared with the old Yamaha PSR E.

Knobs and sliders are expensive. Having more controls beyond chiclet buttons ups the price.

You all know what’s happening here ? Casio is gearing up to blow the Yamaha’s PSR’s out of the water in the next 12 months.

I think, in the price range below 1000 EUR/$, Casio can be the better choice. The option, to run most of the line by batteries, makes it interesting for people, who plays usually much better keyboards.

When Styles & Music sold styles on disks and for all brands, I bought also some Casio styles, so I hope, they will work on the new line.
