If you put rechargeable batteries in it and then connect it through the power adaptor would it charge the batteries?

No as they won’t be rechargeable batteries plus the keyboard wouldn’t be smart enough to do that

Not easy, because the Casio CT-S100 has no pedal input. The only option is to send MIDI Control Change 64 messages to its USB.
