In this video I take a look at the G-Shock GA-2100-1A1 Black. This watch is also known as the Casioak. With a 5611 module, this watch offers a lot of bang for your buck.

The new G B2100 solar ones have improved the light so much. It's almost a mini torch now

Just got the 2100 5611 silver face with black strap. Fell in love at Macy’s. 😂 $200 a little steep but I waited long enough.

My personal favorite is GA-2110ET, blue one with beige bezel. But GM-2100MF is just $70 more. Damn you Casio!

I must agree with you about those garish over the top g-shocks. these are still cool lookin' but without the Daddy-Yankee ridiculous factor. just ordered this exact model and can't wait to get it. if I like it, I'm pulling the trigger on the Bluetooth variant. great video, sir!

I have 2 jobs and I wear the Casioak for my daytime job, it’s easy to read in a place with plenty of light, like in a office. However for my night job at a warehouse, the Casioak is virtually useless in poor light. I use my Casio AE-1000W world timer instead. No complaints at all, I love them both!

Yeah…. For a hundred bucks, the light could be better. It’s just one of those things I guess that makes it a casio

I own this one and the same with gray hour markers - the gray is easier to see, but the black is really cool

I had no idea that the blacked out Casioak existed. It sent chills up my spine. It's something I've never seen before. Sorry, not sorry Richard Mille. Is the Casioak an atomic bomb? A watch possessed by a demon? Strap it on and someone will have to call a priest. The H. Moser & Cie Vantablack watch is so black it reflects no light, but the Casioak's black is blacker than black. It scares the shit out me.

It all comes to preference.. they offer similar, but one is clearly more bulky. The GA-700 can’t be modded like this one

The Casioaks are nice but useless as a 'tactical' watch especially the black on black on black on here, impossible to see at a glance, LED screens are way too small.

The thing is, you're not reading the time from a negative display. You're usually reading constant things like the date or day, along with seconds. If you really need to see the seconds, you can take a moment to position it correctly
